You owe me a new Michelin motherfucker

Michael Jordan is black, and yet has a Hitler mustache.
He's also from Chicago (sort of), and later in life became an avid golfer…the eeriness continues…

I don't think musicians should necessarily be quiet about politics (any more so than anyone else should), but they need to have more awareness that there is more at stake when they share their opinions because they have higher profiles than the typical person.

Tweedy's point about looking back and remembering it as something different than what it was is spot on though. We get nostalgic for certain periods because of where we were in our lives at those times, not because the music was objectively better. I do wax a bit nostalgic for music I liked when I was 13 - 16, but I

It would have been even better if there was any sense at all of what he's claiming Jeff Tweedy was saying. There isn't any shit talking about anyone in this interview; in fact, he stays very middle-of-the-road for the most part.

I guess I can't deny this. I won't get rid of my hard copies. In fact, I'm waiting until some point when I have enough money to buy nice complete sets of the  authors I really like.

Viral marketing is why I waited so long?

How auspicious. Just picked up a kindle last night; I will check this out since I missed a lot of them as they debuted, and was quite a fan of the 'alternative nation' at the time.

Latifah?

Apparently not all of us share your love of Satan

What about Requiem for a Dream? The story of one man's undying love for pure unadulterated smack. Brings a tear to the eye.

Did it make you say Uhhh?

It's not bad, but has too much of the stink of the old-man-entices-amazingly-hot-young-girl to it. No way a woman that looks like that would fall for a man like him.

Scratch "best love" and replace with "most overrated children's"

I guess no one's reading this article any more or commenting, but I submit Of Human Bondage by Somerset Maugham. It's not my favorite falling-in-love story in the sense of happiness and light, but it struck real close to home and captured the feelings of the experience perfectly. It was a story about what it *really*

And dear god, what about the grandfather who refused to speak? Take it easy on us, Foer.

The only one that seems overlong to me is Would You Rather. Which is a hit or miss game. The game I really like, not because it's funny but just because it's interesting to hear, is What am I Thinking. Definitely something to keep in mind for a long car trip at some point.

I just remember before Doug started this podcast, it was a feature on Comedy Bang Bang where he would call in (they even used the same theme song). Every call he would be in Denver or Omaha or something and his report was "well I didn't have time to see the movie that I'm supposed to tell you about. I'll check in with

I guess Aukerman's more of a writer, because it seems he's been involved in a lot of successful (and funny) projects, but he's not really a standup. Some of his guests are like that too, and they don't really work as improv people (Paul Rudd and Michael Cera come to mind). I warmed up to him a bit after going back and

yeah Maron is not an improv guy. But his Who Charted episode was pretty good, I was surprised by how well he came off in that setting.
