Oh, who the hell knows how long its been. The entire season seemingly took place somewhere between three and 90 days.

In a way, I'll kind of miss this dumb show while it's gone.

I thought it was cool when I was a kid; just an alternate version of the flag or something. But it was an X! Sweet! Then my parents explained it to me…

I once saw it while swimming in my high school's pool; it was one of those lock-ins where you stay in the building all night and they pump you full of pizza and caffeine. The best part was they shut off the lights in the pool area.

I also love "Cartridge" for Marge admiring a reflection of herself holding a gun while the music from "The Avengers" plays.

Now Zoidberg is big!

Of late, I've been fascinated by the recollections of people in your age group. I was in my mid-20s when it happened, and it seems so recent. It's like that with any major event, I guess, but this one is ours.

Not that you're doing it here, but I think the thing about super-heroes being intrinsically right wing and moral absolutists gets blown out of proportion. Sure, that can be the case in some examples, but doesn't a lot of super-heroing involve stopping crimes in progress?

Kinda puts all those high school sports teams that use Spartans as a mascot into perspective.

@avclub-2784365897ee3eaead94ec72d1943cb7:disqus , I think passengers THEN would've stood up to a bunch of guys armed only with boxcutters, but IIRC the hijackers claimed they had a bomb. Of course, as we learned, that didn't stop everyone.

@avclub-b4238f7793ec8c1a632f14f2a1766c68:disqus , pretend for a minute that I don't know anything about metallurgy, or engineering, or physics, and just tell me what the Hell is going on.

If this wasn't my daughter's AV Club, I'd knock your teeth out, you anti-dentite bastard.

It is the 90s, and there is time for dome.

Is Chester's Mill an abandoned AIM or Cobra community? Because that's the only way it could be filled with lackeys and thugs just waiting for a villain to sign up with. Honestly.

Why not a reboot of "Stargate" where the space tube invades Earth, and has to be fought off by Will Smith and Co.?

JoJoCop, Your Life is Calling.

The slide from laughter into sobbing isn't a new joke, but it was great coming from a moon-headed carnie who regrets wasting his life in art school.

And I loved that, as the series' final seconds were ticking, we heard Farnsworth's crazy laugh one last time.

An investor meeting with stagehands? Oh Hollywood!

The GoBots shot beams from their hands. I think. Really, that's better in a lot of ways, because they can't be disarmed. Well, they can in the literal definition, but still.
