God I hated that usurious bastard Tom Nook.
Chrono Trigger. I will marry someone of either sex on the spot if they somehow bring it up independently in conversation. Unfortunately, 1990s 16-bit JRPGs don't come up in conversation in the hospital much.
Excellent piece Kevin. Made me remember I had my Knives Chau moment at Tower Records Stonestown with Wilco's YHF wherein the clerk told me about this website Pitchfork which led to years (and perhaps a lifetime) of actually good music.
Really the only one is when people say they don't like "the government." Mostly because I find it stunningly myopic (it's fine to disagree with policies, expenditures, or interventions, but really, you don't like roads?) and starting with that opening line makes it nearly impossible to engage in real productive…
I'll concur with this statement. I'm similarly very sensitive, but I just watched all of the second season over the last week and probably laughed out loud more than the whole last season of Parks and Rec (and I love P&R).
Went to the San Francisco show. A bit underwhelmed by the monologue, but the main event featured PFT as Werner Herzog and the ever entertaining side-man Doug Benson. Highlight was a Yelp review of a local hotel by Werner:

Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs. Don't know why I ended up watching it, but god damn, hilarious film.

When I first watched the show, I thought that her acting was a little over the top, but now I'm really impressed about how accurately Glau plays disorganized schizophrenia. I'm excited to see the…

Yeah, my partner has been commenting about Robin's awful outfits for about a season now. They have been remarkably bad.
