1. Cash wrote Folsom Prison Blues long before he played at prisons.

Um, what is "artistic integrity," and how does it relate to helping to write a song for Beyonce? (I realize that you're not disagreeing with me, but I really don't get the OP's point).

It's funny that people are trying to lump "av club commenters who think a discussion of an album (I would hardly call the above think piece "praise," but rather "consideration") is reasonable" in with "rabid Beyonce fans."

I got Prince, but I'm not a princess.

Sorry, but the gold old days were 2004-2008. This place is mostly dead to me, now.

You seem like a fun guy.

Uh, pick a different straw man. Also, learn to construct a sentence.

It's not even snark. Snark requires a little bit of thought/intelligence behind it.

Really? Why?

Yeah, and I bet that fuckwad Johnny Cash never *actually* shot a man in Reno!

I like "Law of Large Numbers." That was her, right?

Hmm, Arlington as vestigial DC suburb… was going to quibble, but I suppose it's not that different from the AMU area, or other outer reaches of NW DC. But in general, something in the air just changes, for me, once I cross the river. But inner/downtown Arlington (is el Rey part of Arlington? I like that area too)

I stopped reading PF regularly in about 2004, but it seems like my general philosophy toward them still sticks: you can trust them when they say they really like something, but otherwise it is best to completely ignore them.

it's an accurate definition of fine-ish, imo.

Is this the one near Logan Circle? Or near AMU? The ones in DC are nice, but I don't really think that's the point.

"Evil" implies some sort of competence, in my mind…

Would you say that to Tom Petty?

Wow, tell us what you really think…

Wow, it truly is evil…

It simultaneously represents what is awesome and what is ridiculous about GBV.
