Back then, that was one moment. This episode was one such instance after another…it was comical. The Whacky Misadventures of Nicholas Brody. But not very funny, if you ask me.

You can find good arguments in favor or against, but IMHO killing Brody doesn't make that much sense, if Abu Nazir ordered it. I doubt Brody knows anything the CIA isn't aware of, except for his own involvement. Most importantly, Brody doesn't know how to find Nazir. He could arrange a meeting, but if Nazir already

The thing is, Brody wasn't trying to keep him alive, he just wanted him to be quiet. I don't get why he didn't just walk away from him, finished the phone call in peace, then got back to him. This entire scene was the height of fabrication in this fake episode.

At this point in the episode, after all the predictably awful crap that went down…I almost expected it to be Brody. They obviously wanted you to believe that (like so many things in this episode). But I was fairly certain that it wouldn't get quite this bad.

(response to the nested comment…)
Like your name says. ;)
They need to separate the response to comments from the notifications. Lots of responses fall through unseen anyway, because of this pesky two-level nesting limit. It puts comments out of order, too.

It's funny to read things you wrote a year ago…another comment you responded to, I tried to understand what I was saying, but no luck.

Yes, but that's a remix of Closer from NIN. Which sounds less like music before it gives itself away as Closer.

This list is sorely missing Boston Legal.
Which had at least four hostage situations involving regulars. In one episode not only are regulars taken hostage, but the one responsible would also be a regular of later seasons.

Don't forget "Weekend at Bobby's". Unless you didn't like that. It's one of the very best episodes of this show, in my opinion.
But characters have to earn the privilege of carrying an episode.

Good thought, but I don't think so. Dean puts the song back on as a sentimental gesture. Somebody who doesn't give a damn wouldn't do that.

They let her go, because her got as close to her as an outsider can get. They saw the entire thing on tape. At least that's how it's supposed to work. But as Phil mentioned, it doesn't feel right.

I still don't know why they gave her that name…what were they thinking??
