I loved the first two seasons and am not about to give up on this one, but I agree. Sunil's story is the most interesting but his extreme accent makes it a constant struggle just to figure out what he's saying. Much as I love Debra Winger, the Frances segments just aren't doing it for me. Jesse is an irritating creep

Can't Do It
I really tried hard to hate The Eagles, but could never quite pull it off. Never really thought of them as being country, either, at least not in the sense that the other people you've written about in Nashville or Bust are country.

Great Show
I'm really happy to see this back, although season 2 will be hard to top. Probably it's only the low production cost keeping this on if nobody's watching. HBO threw all four episodes onto On Demand today, and I'm hoping they do that every week. As for the recaps, two would be better than lumping all four

Great Line
Deb to Mousaka in the tattoo parlor: "She seems to like needles. Why don't you show her your dick?"

Better Than Weeds
But not much.

Going Downhill
As funny as the first season was, the second one seems headed in the direction of the third season of "Weeds", and I can't believe I'm still watching it. Larry David is a funny asshole. Kenny Powers is just an asshole.

Julia Stiles
I never understood it, but it wasn't that long ago that she was destined to be the Next Big Thing.

Not Bad
But suffers from the Sunday night competition. Maybe it'll look better after "Rubicon" and "Mad Men" are gone after two more weeks. But it's not as good as "Dexter" either.

Get It Right
Sure you read this, Emily? Mackey doesn't go to England, he stays in Ireland. And what brings him back home is the discovery of Rosie's suitcase. The discover of her body comes later. Your assessment is pretty much on the money though.

And in the end….
Nice conclusion to a terrific season. It would have been nice to see those redneck goobers who wanted Tami fired dipped in shit and killed, but that wouldn't have been FNL.

Not quite molasses in January
But close. Still, more happened here than in the first two episodes of "Treme".

Why Am I Watching This?
Because it follows TB and I'm too lazy to move? The only thing I can remember from the first season is that I always wondered how two reasonably decent looking people like Ray and Jessica could have such ugly-ass kids.

Football Stuff
Maybe we've been told and I just missed it, but it's impossible to tell from what little football action you get (not that I'm complaining). What the fuck position does Luke play? I know Vince is a running back, but Luke doesn't seem to be either a QB or a RB. From what I know about football, those

Why Do They Put Up With This Shit?
I've watched this show from the beginning and mostly liked it, but this is the first recap I've read. Surely this question has been discussed in some previous recap, but here it is: Tara is obviously crazy as a shithouse rat. So why do Max and the kids put up with all this shit just

WTF?
This sure as shit ain't the episode I saw last night.

Happy Town
I'll give it a couple more episodes, which is what I said last season about "Harper's Island" and wound up watching the whole stupid fucking thing. The most interesting mystery so far is why anyone is willing to put up with that creepy bitch who runs the boarding house. I guess that's the only place in town

Plot?
After two episodes of "The Wire" I was wondering what the fuck was happening. After two weeks of "Treme" I'm wondering whether anything is GOING to happen.
