Hard to say what's more annoying at this point, this wretched final season or CBS, with its greed-grab four hour prime time and its incessant fucking sports overruns that make the four hour prime time a problem. When TGW ends which, at the current rate, will be mid-summer, I will never, ever watch another series on

So when did "Dissent" get published, or even written for that matter? How far in the future would that have to be given that's Noah's apparently making no progress on it?

Hard as it is to believe while watching this piece of shit, it's based on a pretty entertaining novel.

I love way you guys assume that we remember the episodes of this and other shows by the title.

Sundance has had E1 on demand for a while, and I got around to it last night. It's pretty bad.

Preston really deserves her own show, but as much as I love Elsbeth I think a whole hour of her might be a bit much.

Maybe "Bunheads" should have two recaps like "Game of Thrones". One for people who've seen "Gilmore Girls" and one for everybody else.

Anybody believe for a fucking minute that Joe's kid reads Melville? What is he, eight?

I was so happy to have "Bunheads" back that I watched it AFTER the football game. There's nothing else on ABC Family that I'm even tempted to watch, and I'm glad for that. This channel has an almost unbelievable amount of screen clutter, and it makes even this great show somewhat difficult to watch. I've found that

NotH is so good I didn't notice the one flaw until somewhere around the fifth time I saw it—the kid who plays Pearl is awful. Mitchum's best performance, although "Cape Fear" and "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" are close.

Anyone know the actual length of an episode? As aired tonight it ran 75 minutes. I watched it on BBCA/OD, which ran 60 minutes and STILL had lots of commercials. I'm very glad it's back, but I'd sure as shit hate to watch it live.

I saw that one, too, and it was great. Probably the loudest concert I ever attended. Saw Nirvana in the same venue on their last tour, and they were quiet by comparison.

I gave up on this piece of shit weeks ago—just reading to catch up and I run into references to "Some Came Running" and "Blow Up". Hey, I'm impressed. If I'd been that impressed with the show I'd still be watching.

If I didn't know this thing was half over I'd be gone.

Could we just get a fucking recap of what happened? Maybe you could do that then write a separate column on your theories of television.

Quite a while back there was one of those Dylan tribute shows on television and I remember absolutely smokin' covers of "Foot of Pride" by Lou Reed and "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues" by Neil Young. I've never heard either of them again.

Wonder how a pay-per-listen event worked back in the 20s?
