what's the connection there?

hey! what's wrong with my vibes??

i am nominated for one of these things!

I saw her do a reading a few weeks ago at the library, and she said her next project was actually another family memoir, this one focusing more on the full family dynamic including her brothers and sisters, who are weirdly almost absent from the first two books). I have a feeling at this point that would be kind of

So much good stuff it's crazy… Check out Nate Powell's SWALLOW ME WHOLE, CITY OF GLASS (based on the Paul Auster novella), for God's sake read SANDMAN, anything at all by Alan Moore (WATCHMEN and V FOR VENDETTA are good places to start),  ASTERIOS POLYP, pretty much anything from the LOVE AND ROCKETS-verse, Burns'

I think the problem is that Aronofsky is wrongly packaged as a high minded art-film director, when in fact he makes lurid, trashy visceral popcorn stuff with some big ideas. He has no concept of subtlety. Every emotion is huge-verging-on-schizophrenic. There's no depth of shading or three dimensionality to his

The Man in the Long Black Coat. And Oh Mercy in general as an album.

You guys are nuts, those songs are amazing. You're thinking of Meet Me in the Morning.

Right. All the rage is because they don't "deserve" it. Of course they don't deserve it. Does the quarterback "deserve" the homecoming queen? I'm just pointing out that all the the people talking about how execrably awful the music is are lying to themselves. They're reacting to haircuts and Gawker articles and trying

I'm not at all a KOL fan, but musically they seem completely

I also think I am Myles McNutt every time every GeoGreg posts.

"what shakes Buffy's confidence is not the battle but her conduct, in that she abandons a Potential to her death to move to help Xander but can't save  him from a grievous injury either, underscoring the truism of war that there are few good choices and even fewer clear rewards."

Man, I never post on these things but I always read every review and every comment. I am gonna miss these recaps a lot. At least there's still Angel season 5 ahead.

Nicely put, vadasz. Don't forget, "never" was in response to Spike's handcuffs suggestion. They cut away, but we find out later she did put them on.

Please use me. I'm lonely.

@spicoli I agree with everything you said, I do think there's a sort of admirable nobility to Wes' dedication. I just don't think he's this take-no-prisoners action-movie cool-dude.

p.s. my response was aimed at Bale, I typed it before the other responses

Oh yeah I agree, I didn't explain that well — what I mean is he allows his insecurities over Fred to hugely impact the way he deals with the situation. It's a life-or-death situation, and he's guided largely by issues he should have gotten over in his teens. We all have our insecurities, but in situations where we
