I always loved that "At Seventeen" bit. Such a smart, depressing gag. (Later in the 4th season we get Hooray For Everything performing "Walk On the Wild SIde," which is almost as funny.)

All right, everybody… drinks on the house!

Frog legs! Frog legs! Frog legs so fine!
Hopper's is the place you should dine!
There's cheese legs, bacon legs, chili legs too!
French fried frog legs, barbecued!
If you want just a snack, here is the one:
A frog leg burger on a bright green bun!

I've seen detergents leave a better film than this.

News of the World caused a Sheer Heart Attack.

She rhymes with "Hermit of Mink Hollow"?

And tomorrow they're on SNL, cuz apparently Stefon is booking their musical guests now.

It's reprinted in the new HORRIFYINGLY MAD— most of their parodies of horror flicks over 50 years, plus some of their EC horror parodies from the 50s. Pretty worthwhile compilation, even though it leaves out the Drucker-illustrated INVASION OF THE BOOTY SNATCHERS.

"Arbor Day" is amazing. One of the most heart-racingly gruesome things I was ever exposed to as a kid. My parents were super-protective of the media I got to take in, with horror flicks obviously off the table, but that piece relayed the interchangeable slasher plot beat-by-beat and with such crazed gore by Davis that

Yeah, the first time I saw that movie I found her character incredibly smug and unlikable. But then I realized that was the point.

When she first walked through the background sobbing, I also thought it was Bedelia (which would be fine… that character's actually kind of sweet). But once things got underway / tapioca-slathered I didn't really see any character similarities.

Pretty sure it was Samberg.

Norm will always be my favorite, but yeah, Nealon was pretty well-versed in deadpan non sequiturs. One of my favorite Nealon Update jokes was some news item about men experiencing allergic reactions to condoms… to which he sheepishly added, "You know, and that's kinda funny, because all this time I thought I was

It was a very funny sketch, and what made it funnier was that it kept referencing its own tastelessness. It was pervaded by a sense of vague self-awareness and shame ("Still no sponsors?"), which elevated it far above the "Ha ha, buttsex" premise I expected. Sudeikis leaving was hilarious.

The haughty "Uh, I don't believe you washed that hand" was what made it for me. And I liked that he was so erudite about the urine-drinking. I love Steve Martin so much.

Crow: "I get the feeling that the phrase 'where's my cocaine?' was heard a lot on this set."

I'm partial to "He kissed a girl! That is so gay!"

That dude shouting "We ain't found shit" is so, so funny to me. Not only does he spit it with such rage, but then the camera just lingers on his angry expression for like 5 seconds afterwards. He really sells the notion of not having found shit.

I may be alone in this, but I never dug "Whacking Day" so much.
