Damn, did nobody mention Fargo before now? That is flawless, no question about it.

Moltar FTW!

"Locust of 'pocalypse".

Sweet Jesus…Susan Powter! I always forget that she was, like, a thing back in the day. Yeah, that show really had the D-listers, for the most part. Which would always make the appearances by people I loved (like Michael Stipe) all the better. "I have a question. Is that you? In the corner?"

I don't know about "perfect", but it's damn close. I can still lose my shit laughing at most of the episodes. Actually, just thinking about some of the dialogue makes me start howling.

Very good choice.

TV on the Radio: 9 Types of Light

Yeah, it really makes you wonder why the general public never caught on to all the Star Wars/Lord of the Rings/Indiana Jones stuff in a big way, doesn't it? Not to mention the Beatles…man, I always thought those boys were gonna be HUGE. Shows you what I know…

Goddammit. That one is perfect, now you mention it. The look, the dialogue, the music, the performances… yup. Perfect.

I just made this same comment elsewhere before seeing yours, @avclub-1a4288bd1d6ebdfa6ac93ecb06b71842:disqus and I couldn't agree more. That music is a real burr under the saddle for me, as much as I try to ignore it whenever I watch this movie. That is the one unfortunate element which knocks this otherwise flawless

The only thing that keeps me from catagorizing The Princess Bride as "perfect" is the score. I hate to say it, but the cheesy, dated sound of most of the music in that film has become far more distracting and annoying to me over the years than I would like. Other than that, it really is solid.

Eternal Sunshine is one of my top 3 films ever. What a concept - if you could erase failed relationships from your memory, would you? And even if you did, is love something that can ever truly be erased, or is it just a part of your psyche that will always remain, no matter what?

If the only thing I read on AVC today was this question and answer, that would be enough to make me happy.

The question posed by this article presupposes that there is such a thing as a "good" singer. I would argue that there ain't no such thing, because "good" is in the eye of the beholder. I mean, my list of "good" singers would range from Aretha to Joey Ramone to Bjork to Sam Beam, with all stops in between, and I'll

OK. A documentary should, ideally, engage the viewer and not just beat them over the head with facts/opinions. But it's really narrow-minded to dismiss all traditional documentaries as nothing more than "indifferent filmmaking".  A skilled documentarian can use those basic elements (data, talking heads, archival

Holy shit, thank you for giving credit where it's due. Beck's certainly not typical mainstream radio fare, but I suspect he's never taken a ride in the Mothership.

No, they were actually at the Gathering of the Juggalos that night. But thanks for playing.

I would pay big bucks to see Teleport Us To Mars! I truly would.

One of the most satsfying moments I have ever had as a parent was hearing my tween daughter saying to a friend of hers, "Why do you even like Taylor Swift? All she does is date people."
