OK, one more ancient Egyptian link… Richard Alpert = R.A. = Ra, the sun god.

Also, Tunisia and Egypt are not too far, so they may have had similar dress and customs thousands of years ago…when Richard came to the island.

There has long been talk about town that it looks like Richard Alpert is wearing eye-liner, and in this episode Sawyer actually mentioned it…In the same episode that we see an ancient Egyptian looking statue. Egyptians wear eye-liner….so Richard is an original inhabitant who has been on the island for time immemorial.

My memory may fail me, but I seem to recall a character, possibly Sayid, giving his condolences to Jack for his loss when we saw the flashback as they were all getting onto flight 815. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

I caught part of the pop-up videos Lost aired before 316, and they said that the flash was to a time before the well was dug…no Dharma shenanigans here.

Perhaps he is a guy as well.
