Thank you! The role of Mr. O'Neil's predictable and unfortunately ubiquitous snark in shaping the current AVclub's voice really devalues this article.
Sometimes I wonder exactly who the fuck this imbecile is fooling.
Heh. My thoughts exactly. Why do people like her? While her brand of aggressive mediocrity and outsized entitlement make her perfect for Pretty Woman, I can't help but notice that the majority of movies she's been in are not, in fact, Pretty Woman.
Awful.
Please leave Grimes alone. You don't need her to do your jobs. There's lots of other things/people/etc you could analyze for content. Have you tried talking to your cat? Works for Newsweek and CNN.
It's about time the lame, unimaginative side of kinky sex gets its moment in the sun.
JK Simmons has done other voice acting. In the rather chic video game Portal 2 he played a macho scientist named Cave Johnson, to hilarious effect: http://www.youtube.com/watc…
WRITE 10000000 TIMES: MADMEN IS NOT A HISTORICAL DOCUMENT.
Yeah, "beloved" might be stretch. More like "existed in several episodes of TNG that were also often memorable or great."
George Lucas knows how to move the camera? And Phantom Menace is an example of this?
Man, I can't bring myself to rewatch these early episodes. While not as bad as first season TNG they're still painfully off, especially compared to this series once it hit its stride. If TNG hadn't trained me to expect the first 50-odd episodes to be smelly crap, I would never have made it to the delicious meaty…
I'm really glad to see that you're reviewing DS9. I found the series overall confounding, whiplashing between soaring, unforgettable moments and utterly unmemorable shit. Since I've never actually met a real human who has watched the show, I'm kind of dying to know how other people feel about this thing.
