Really?  I find 30 Rock to feature absolutely zero character development.  Whenever Tracy or Jenna act crazy and have one of their revelations at the end of an episode, everything is reset the next week.  I can't think of any real personal growth, even though I think they have tried (Jack's baby, Tracy only pretending

@avclub-b7a8211586995578af1a2a97cfd214ca:disqus, I was trying to CTRL+F my name to find the discussion from last night and came across your comment mentioning me.  Disqus truly is the opposite of Batman.  And, of course, you'll probably never get notified about this.  Now to continue CTRL+F'ing — adios.

I watched a new episode of TBBT yesterday.  Did it air in a one-hour block or something?

@avclub-d87f64100f4d92959c85af0112cb57fc:disqus, I've seen FoTC.  It's great, especially the Prime Minister bits, but is 'down' there with Curb in the tier below.

@avclub-f0063baac3d62f59a0f27e4e9a29471a:disqus, you got me — I tried typing @Raylan in the hopes of drawing my second favorite gunslinger into this, but no one popped up in the suggestions.  You lie!

@SpongyandBruised:disqus, it is to my continuing shame that I haven't seen all of the UK Office yet.  I really need to rectify that, seeing as how it's just six or seven hours total.  I tried watching it after I got into the American version but abandoned the British one after the second episode, I think.

I agree on your top four — swapping 2 and 3, of course.  I think Seinfeld, AD and Community are in a tier of their own, though, which isn't a knock against Curb.  Those three are the only comedies I grade as 10/10.

I made the mistake of watching Arrested Development too many times on DVD. I just kept blowing through the entire run repeatedly, over-and-over over the course of six or seven months to the point where things weren't as funny anymore.  I took a huge break before revisiting it then but I still had way too much

Community — better than Arrested Development, yes?  I've been saying that to friends since season two but haven't had anyone agree with me yet.

If nothing has been shot there, I have to assume it's because Koreans don't want others there — otherwise surely some movie would have filled the void at some point, no?  Is it a weird Korean thing like fan death?  Is it just because technically they're still at war?  I need to know!

And then after Game of Thrones ends on June 3rd, and Mad Men June 10th…there will be a very dark month when there is nothing to watch except for (hopefully) 10 minutes of Childrens Hospital every week… till Breaking Bad in July.  June will be rough.

That's the one positive from Lost flubbing the landing: it's ruined me for shows like Alcatraz or The River or The Event.  5-23: never forget.

It's like that misleading 'most favored nation' status.  It just means they can't treat you any less advantageously than any other country.  Canada is special.  Mexico is special.  England is special.  Australia is special. Everybody is juuuust super.

Wait, why hasn't anything been shot in Seoul yet?  I just assumed that a Mission Impossible- or Bourne- or Bond-type movie must have had a big set-piece there at some point, but I can't think of any.  Is it because of local laws?

Please don't.  I like the Newswire here because it's pretty much always actually about actual entertainment or other interesting 'huh- imagine-that' things and not irrelevant TMZ-style personal nonsense.  I don't know why everyone keeps using the word 'snark' in the comments around here, because I really don't see

It's more like he pulled it on subscribers: "I'm gonna make this… catalog… disappear."

That…fits.  The threatening ultimatums, existing syndicates only reluctantly using him to deal with an even bigger force of upheaval (Batman = the Internet), etc.

Needs more reluctance.

I was just mentioning this in the Community trailer comments after I saw a Kara Thrace there — we can't @link across threads? - but that username made me realize that your name is not in reference to Spartacus' Thracian origins.  Consider this an early airing of grievances.

I hate them too, but I sing along to The Big Bang Theory theme every time.  You take that to the grave.
