(In my mind, I imagined this exchange:)

Oh Crap! This is really sad. RIP Debbie Reynolds

Wait - you mean there aren't groups of eight strangers having mind-blowing telepathic orgies around the world this very second?? Say it ain't so!

That second question reminded me of a scene in the pilot for HOUSE OF LIES, which I watched for the first time over the Christmas weekend.

Constance Zimmer :
2016 U can F off! I had the honor of working with #CarrieFisher 2x & she will always be my fav heroine UR honesty will always B admired #RIP

Your first comment is quite correct - I did label it "pure speculation".

You're absolutely right, of course.

Also from twitter:

It's almost like the George Michael with huge pop hits like Faith and Freedom, and the George Michael singing and writing beautiful ballads like Jesus to a child and Older, were two very talented but very different artists.

WHAT??!!??

Signed up for Netflix for the first time ever this weekend, really just to be able to watch the SENSE8 CHRISTMAS ORGY … er, I mean Christmas Special.

Wolfgang, in that header pic: "Rajan isn't the man for you, Kala…

With regards to the recasting of Capheus, this special makes me wonder if the orgy scene might have been some part of the "creative differences" between Aml Ameen and the directors that led to his exit (and maybe nothing to do with Jamie Clayton after all)

*side-eyes you and your tissue box*

Now see, Riley would be speaking English most of the time anyway though, as she's mainly interacting with English speakers in *the flesh*, so to speak. And they could get away with Capheus and Kala speaking English (an official language in their countries) though personally I'd love it if, while conversing in *sensate

When Nomi's friend with the house boat (dude with the teeth) was rambling on about "Virts", and spending his Christmas chatting with people he has never seen in person, in my mind I filled in the blanks and understood that as him being one of the top commenters here on the AV Club …

Minor point, but at times while watching this special, I found myself wishing the Wachowskis had made the creative decision to incorporate subtitles and let all the Mexicans speak Spanish and Koreans speak Korean. It just took me out of the reality the show is presenting with Wolfgang and his sidekick speaking

Rajan: "Who does Kala keep talking to? I think she might be insane … Actually, right now I don't care, it looks like tonight i'm finally going to get some!"

Nah, not that neglected at all.

All in all, I'd say Bae Doona (Sun) was the MVP of this special (same way I figured Tuppence Middleton stood out in last season's finale). I dunno if it was part CGI or just good make-up and acting, but she really did look 17 in that fight flashback. Hope she gets out of that damn prison sooner rather than later in
