Maybe? Take a listen to Deeper (which I think is his best) and decide for yourself — he sort of works between Nine Inch Nails and the darker end of The Cure, which of course sounds awesome, but he has an tendency to favor style over songwriting IMO.
Some people have that kind of look, and in my experience they are almost always time-traveling dark mages.
