He's so keen!

Coldplay's drummer is doing a cameo in Season 3, too.

GOT basically resurrected his career! Now he gets to be a badass on GOT and Ripper.

Ha, Neil Marshall did say they thought about trying to get Robson in that scene; said he would've gotten another #1 single out of it.

I remember reading an interview in the 90s with Klemperer. He had one condition before he joined the show: The Nazis must always, always lose. He wanted no painting of them in any sympathetic light.

Sad, sad day. I've been to LucasArts many times (back when it was in Marin and after it moved to the Presidio), know a lot of former LucasArts'ers, and, of course, played the hell out of TIE Fighter and X-Wing.

@avclub-9ff7c9eb9d37f434db778f59178012da:disqus I wonder if they could modify Spaceballs: The Flamethrower to make it look like a dragon?

I could see GRRM leaving it to Benioff and Weiss if the worst case scenario happened. Both are novelists, GRRM has read their books, and Benioff's written two highly acclaimed novels. And you can hardly consider both as outsiders who would be coming in to finish the series (unlike some other fantasy series); no one

@avclub-0ae7484a9f3bbd2a21df420050c032ae:disqus You're absolutely right.

@pcloadletter:disqus I'm reading A Ball of Beasts. You're a smart boy. You can figure the rest.

Not too far off. The show is obliterating HBO's merchandising records. According to licensing.biz, 75-percent of all sales from the HBO Store in Europe was Game of Thrones-related!

Some fan sites have been referring to them as D&D since the HBO deal was signed back in '06.

I've read an interview somewhere where they said they've got the story outlined out to the end, and the total story runs around 70-80 hours (we just watched hour #21)

Slightly off topic, but back when the books were split Martin said that fans would probably hack apart the two books and reorder the chapters to unify the chronology.

As Yogurt wisely said, "MERCHANDISING!"

Yeah, I totally expected this after yesterday's record ratings announcement.

His dad played Ser Rodrik!

I'm just annoyed they changed The Others to The White Walkers, maybe because Lost beat them to it (nevermind the books beat Lost), and they didn't want to confuse people.

My guess is the final shot of the season is a terrifying scene of unCat starting to mercilessly reduce the number of Freys in the world. That'll set the theme for Season 4: PAYBACK TIME, BITCHES.
