uh Mekong Hotel, HELLO

uh Mekong Hotel, HELLO

Iron Man 1 was originally going to feature the Mandarin as an Indonesian billionaire who moonlights as a terrorist, they could bring that back

this is actually being independently produced with mostly Italian money

this news has been now been superseded by the announcement that Isabelle Huppert is on board, along with some other people

also, "for the time being" implies that the Car 54 movie is still playing somewhere, or perhaps has yet to open in some countries (Japan is totally gonna put it over the top)

the way that whole thing was handled in Avengers was nearly a lol moment for me, the ending of Thor was clearly going for an Empire Strikes Back-style bittersweet cliffhanger that got handwaved away with a single line in The Avengers

"To put it in perspective, that’s $371.9 million more than the 1994 big-screen version of Car 54, Where Are You?, which boasted its own all-star cast of Avengers in David Johansen, John C. McGinley, Fran Drescher, and Nipsy Russell. It also topped the $1 billion mark worldwide, putting it just behind Tim Burton’s

grim hopelessness is a good way of putting it — and the reason the Newt/Hicks business didn't bother me so much is because the rest of the movie is in such a grim vein it really comes off as part of the design, and not just a cheap way to kill off a couple of actors they didn't want to pay or the writers couldn't work

bullshit

because they need something, anything, for these people to do

Todd no longer shares your foolish human sentimentality, he's gonna make some intern earn that partial course credit

I'm pretty sure Todd as said they'll review it next season, it just won't be Todd anymore

@avclub-eaff9f19dbfd5c5a5807b5dbfa656ec9:disqus  it came out in Canada ages ago and works in any U.S. DVD player (you can even get it from Amazon's U.S. site)

just a reminder, Van Damme's bad guy character is named "Jean Vilain"

this movie is totally plugged into the zeitgeist!!!!!

I haven't seen the most recent episode of P&R yet so I don't know how that Bert Macklin joke shakes out, but if it actually goes down the way Dean says it does (as opposed to Registered User), I'm fairly sure it would be the first time anyone on the series has acknowledged their presence on an actually broadcast

I think I've said this before, but the talking-to-the-camera bits in P&R are reallyjust direct address, criticizing it for not being a convincing pseudo-documentary is like criticizing Ferris Bueller because he couldn't possibly have a camera crew following him everywhere like that
