Breakfast - the Most Important

I personally feel we had enough surprises leading up to this. This ending was more or less expected, but it felt right.

If it keeps up the quality of the premiere then I think it might be. Fuckin' Ken Marino, man, that guy is gold in everything he does.

No, it seems so obvious in hindsight, but I was so convinced that Walt was going to use the ricin on himself that it flew right by me.

Screw you man, I'm going to judge an entire season on one episode that was actually part of last season anyway! It's over. I'm never watching this show again. Fuck it.

That "page 17" line was my favourite too.

I did it the other way around, I figured I could use some light entertainment after Breaking Bad. It made the episode seem much darker than it should've been, somehow.

As soon as Ken Marino showed up I knew this season would be good. He is pure gold in everything. Plus Tim Heidecker's appearance was great too - hopefully we get to see more of him.

Breaking Bad finale, season premieres of Eastbound and Down, Bob's Burgers and Homeland - it's been one hell of a Monday night. (That's right, I live in the future, a.k.a. New Zealand.)

@department_of_toad:disqus : Exactly. In the context of the show it sort of was a happy ending, but that's just testament to what an insane and unique journey Walter White has been on over the course of five seasons.

Aren't you all forgetting a little show called Lost?!

OH GOD I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE FINAL EPISODE I'M GONNA PUKE!

Me too. What just happened?

I quite like how Ted was almost too perfect, charming and likeable. It was so over the top it went past having a strong leading man and into an almost surreal realm.

@avclub-ec8a9c3541a92b1e3e32243357410e1a:disqus That would be surprising but supremely unsatisfying, I think.

@avclub-33807fbc68d335db8080d3c10cb78822:disqus : Yeah, a quieter episode was exactly what was needed - both in terms of the pacing of the show and in terms of my frayed nerves from last week!

Good point. Unless you're into that sort of thing…

I didn't click that Nurse Beth was Lexi from Burning Love until this episode. Cool.

Yeah, that would be a close second I think. And 'Love is a Fist', of course.

I'm thinking anything from the self-titled Mr. Bungle album, though 'Dead Goon'  would probably be the worst.
