I find that radio dramas have aged much better than the comedies.  Shows like Fibber McGee and Molly and even the Jack Benny Show just seem to be about laughing at women and blacks who try to step out of their stereotypical roles.

I hope that this is kind of lively discussion will not be diminished by the new commenting system.

Isn't "prominence" what "it" is referring to?

When I was a kid there was basically no fantasy — so A Spell for Chameleon felt new and fresh. By the time I was in high school and college in the mid 80's the series had already grown tired in my slightly more discerning opinion. But was Piers Anthony ever any good? I doubt it.
