Don't forget Hysteria.

This was the episode that basically had me stop watching the show. I just didn't "get" the point of the episode, I guess, and I thought it was just dumb.

Any episode with Dany is going to feature bad dialogue moments, unfortunately.

I discussed this with a couple of audiophile friends, and their suggestion of what is meant by warmth in this regard is a rolled off treble and a prominent mid-bass.

Because warmth can't actually be heard? Or am I just a "cold" listener?

No, anyone who cites vinyl "sounding warmer" is a hipster. I don't use the term in a generic sense like you are referencing, and I have no actual issue with vinyl as a platform. However, using some nonsense rationalization (like it sounding warmer) qualifies a person as a hipster in my view.

I was implying that you are a hipster due to your contrary opinion on something more or less universally praised (this episode), mainly since you didn't provide a basis for your dislike.

I like how warm vinyl sounds too!

Because that is the real twist!

Then you're being deliberately obtuse. Enjoy the show and the reviews!

This was fantastic.

Do you require someone else's opinion of the show to be posted before you can form your own opinion? If not, I can't see why this matters.

It's like you are speaking my own words back to me. I say this frequently in various places about the books, but am always shouted down by refrains of "the source material is perfect because it's the source material".

You know that she had no protection inside the sept in the books too, right?

Which makes it amusing (to me) that The Stand is one of my examples of his ending issues.

I let it slide, because I love that movie. Albert Finney's character IS my dad.

Exactly. He has a real issue with climaxes/endings in his work, and that was one of the times that he got it right, IMO.

I have massive issues with the majority of books 5-7, but Roland's getting to and ascent of the Tower at the end is one of my favorite things ever. I LOVE that ending, and that line is, as King himself said, the only way it could really end.

I concur.

That quote is not real, FWIW.
