I think it's a little more complicated, though. Radio plays don't necessarily replace song and album sales. People don't say to themselves, "I don't have to buy the mp3 of that song, because I can just hear it played on the radio." But people do use Spotify to replace buying and owning music. I'm not saying that

So this isn't a TV show sequel to the Labyrinth? Again and again, you keep on getting my hopes up A.V. Club only to dash them.

Wait, didn't Tarantino pretty much imply that it was Madsen who had leaked the script? And now he has a part in the movie? Man, this Tarantino fellow is a pushover.

That's a pretty impressive collection of scenes that are almost coherent. But the Austin Powers sexbots was just a bit too much, even for an 80s action movie.

"He was just using space travel as a metaphor for beating his wife."

I actually didn't mind the happy ending of Silver Linings Playbook, because it was such a light film to begin with. American Hustle looked like it had more it was trying to say, but it could never quite get there. Still, the yelling was great.

"Hey, America! Youse didn't like that Dracula begins moovie? Well, too fuckin' bad, because we's got more where that came from."

Michael Keaton on the set of Batman?

It became a staple of late-teen/early-twenties angst when I was in college. I have nothing against the song itself, but it was played out for me during those years.

You could conceivably call it a clever film or a unique film, but I don't think I would call it deep. Still, I'm resistant to the Donnie Darko backlash. It had a great sense of atmosphere, some strong visuals, and a truly bizarre narrative.

Let's start crowdfunding Under Siege 3. Casey Ryback deserves his own trilogy, goddamnit!

Wait. So you can take off BOTH the top and the bottom of a screenshot? Technology is moving pretty fast these days.

There is something a little sycophantic about the Hatesong interviews. It's like the interviewer wants to be invited over to the cool kids table, and in order to do so he or she has to make fun of the not so cool kids (who in this metaphor is the song in question, if you didn't get what I was going for there).

I actually really liked A Letter Home and Psychedelic Pill, but it was probably too much to ask of Neil Young to put out three strong albums in a row.

I don't hate the Gary Jules version of "Mad World," but I do think I've been so oversaturated by it that I can't bring myself to listen to it anymore. The Tears for Fears original still kicks ass, though.

The Christopher Nolan directs a Shadow reboot rumors start…now!

Don't let the fact that someone got there first to deter your dream. Keep on writing that Ms. Vesper and the Bats of Nimh novel!

We only care about the universe because Earth happens to live there. And we only really care about Earth because that's where America is.

Even though I'm incredibly excited about X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and Sam & Max, I can't help but ask where the hell are Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango, perhaps my two favorite games of all times. And can a series of sequels to classic Lucasarts games be far behind? I want more, Lucasarts!

I just love how defensive this slogan sounds. No matter what criticism you sling at McDonald's, they can always come back with "Lovin' beats hatin'."
