More than any other character, Mr. Fries's episodes seem to run together to make one longer movie (including Subzero, the direct to video movie he appears in).  You could tell that the creators really loved this character.

I've always thought of Adam Carolla as the poor man's version of Gilbert Gottfried.  And Gottfried isn't very funny to begin with.

I like both.  But, honestly, I think Corin Tucker Band's first album is more consistent.  They should form some sort of supergroup just to confuse everyone.

You're obviously right about the sexism that shades a lot of the Girls criticism, but I'm not as convinced that the archetypal "good" shows are inherently gendered masculine.  You already noted that Mad Men, which is modeled somewhat off of The Sopranos, is very much concerned with women in the 1960s.  I would also

That is a movie I would pay to see.  I can envision the trailer now:

There was a time when I thought that Corgan's inane rantings somehow tarnished a band I really loved back in middle school.  But at this point, I say bring on the crazy train. "Not in the world I grew up in, buddy. Not in the world I grew up in." is a lot more enjoyable than any music he has produced in the last

Local H called it first.

I agree about I'm Gonna DJ.  It's a nice, goofy one off on an album full of political songs.  The only thing I would quibble with is its placement.  I'm not sure if it should end the album.  But the song itself is great dumb fun.

This review is much kinder than it needs to be.  The movie's tone is completely off throughout.  It attempts to be so dire and grim that many people in the theater ended up laughing at several moments.  The director doesn't seem to know what he's doing.  Not only is the action the usual shaky cam nonsense, but he cuts

Believe me, plenty of people have noted that Neelix is a pedophile.  Strangely enough, as horrific as it sounds, that bothered me less than his grating voice.

There's definitely an argument to be made that a sixteen year old should be able to decide whether or not he or she should be sexually active.  But, as people have mentioned, in the US most states make the cut off at eighteen.  It is a little strange to see them break this cultural taboo without blinking an eye.
