I was frustrated that the Japanese characters really aren't characters so much as character types.  Scenes involving Japanese characters without any of the European cast present are usually dubbed over by Orson Welles narrating the action and the thoughts of the character without any actual dialogue.

Wow, in the span of five seconds, my hopes were built up to unreachable heights then dashed and urinated on.

Going along with that, there is also the issue that Gregson knows his former partner (played by Callie Thorne) planted evidence to frame that serial killer.  In the real world, that's a BAD BAD THING.  I realize that story came in the front half of the season, which was more conventional case of the week stuff, but I

So, a random roles candidate, then?

Raylan seems to hold his mother in very high regard.  Arlo was probably just being a dick.

Well, one imitator doesn't itself mean a run.  And, really, would it be so bad….?

Yes.

Thumbs up for another tossed off reference to the ACD canon: "Mr. Musgrave recommended you" (or whatever the line was).

Well, since FX renewed, I think we'll let it slide.  But you better get on board for Season 2, or the producers of Top Chef will pay the price.

I don't know.  Did Teddy Roosevelt pal around with an Austrian alienist?

Historical novelists routinely do this sort of thing.  Why can't film makers just say they're doing the same thing?

Wait, so for Cromwell, they go to his guest spot on TNG, but totally overlook his much earlier and more obscure turn as a creepy undercover vice cop who thinks Chrissie is a hooker on "Three's Compnay."

I really hope they record this.  I didn't know how much I needed to see this until I read about it just now.

I guess I'm up three points then.

Billy Ray: "I told you he was a bitch."

Mummies are just giant balls of sexual frustration.  Zombies don't have that problem.

He's doing "The Hunger Games", according to Wikipedia.  So he's safe (I assume; I haven't read/seen The Hunger Games).

Arggh.  First Koteas, now Sarsgaard.  It's like The Killing is a place where the careers of underappreciated and talented performers go to die.

Pretty sure dad's first initial was revealed to be "M" when Joan asked to stay with Sherlock longer.  So you're probably right.

Wow.  I guess I'll risk canceraids and just say: I like the fact that the First thing we hear is the First direct reference to an ACD plot as Sherlock summarizes "The Adventure of the Crooked Man" for the group.
