That meme's been around for a long time.

Because most Manga/Anime characters don't have an alter ego that can be passed on/picked up by another character. Mangaka have to keep inventing new characters with new characteristics, abilities, and idiosyncrasies while Western authors can keep rebooting, reviving and rehashing characters and storylines.
That's just what Greg Cipes sounds like.
No (just look at Johnny Bravo or Samurai Jack), but if they're rebooting the series I can understand why Cartoon Network would have Ben be 10 years old again. That being said, animated series can be wildly inconsistent about how to portray kids at different ages - from how they're drawn to how mature they act.
Is it that We Bare Bears looks like The Powerpuff Girls, or that the PPG reboot looks like We Bare Bears?
It's not that it looked bad, just different. It didn't look like Ben 10, it didn't have the same characters as Ben 10, and by that point most of the people who were in CN's primary demographic when the franchise began almost 10 years earlier probably started to think they were just too old for Cartoon Network. That's…
I think Omniverse's art style killed the series before it ever had a chance. Ditching most of the main cast for a new character didn't help, either.
Like I said, Ben 10 Omniverse was burned off at 6AM and with little to no promotion. The same applies to Generator Rex. If Cartoon Network wants to burn something off, they air it before their primary demographic wakes up in the morning.
No, kids' networks don't work by the same logic as the ones aimed at an older demographic.
New episodes are coming faster than the AV Club can keep up with, ditches Steven Universe coverage for exceeding their maximum requirements.
Stonewall Jackson was famously killed by friendly fire in the middle of the Civil War, so that would've ruled him out early.
Eh, I'm fine with Jessica Williams leaving now. I really liked her when she started on The Daily Show, but by now she's become my least favorite of the current correspondents. She seemed the least likely to make a goof of herself, meaning her bits (which have been less frequent since Stewart left) just weren't as…
Rock the vote or I'm gonna stick a knife through your eye.
She's a much better boxer.
How DARE they ask a question about "That '90s Show"!
I'm more than fine with treating Community's third season finale as its series finale.
The only thing I remember about that Kid Notorious cartoon was that the "Christmas miracle" was cocaine falling out of the sky they confused for snow.
Katerina Hartlova's done that for the past several years, and Connie Carter only performed with her boyfriend for the almost decade she's been in porn.
I love that the Iron Spider wasn't just "What If Spider-Man was rich?" but instead "What If Spider-Man made good decisions?"
The last two episodes of the 1990's Spider-Man animated series have Madame Web and the Beyonder gather the Spider-Men from multiple universes so they can work together to stop Spider-Carnage from destroying their multiverse. One of these Spider-Men is an actor who plays Spider-Man in a movie from a universe where…
