The A.V. Club
A gag shared among a small group

It's that one guy's favorite stupid thing.

I'm just checking his birthday.

#103 Eva Perón is upset that she's only #103 when Hitler has now crawled up to (*checks*) #9?! Or she would be, if she hasn't been dead for over 60 years. Still, though, starting to get a little worried about how quickly Hitler's rising through the ranks on his birthday.

For the longest time my only knowledge of Adrianne Palicki was as the voice of a psychotic little girl on Titan Maximum. I, too, probably should've watched Friday Night Lights when it was on.

I think Extremis is dangerous enough that a small army of Extremis-enhanced soldiers would give Iron Man a real challenge. And they probably would have, had the movie not given Tony a fleet of armors he could operate remotely for the final battle. Despite the kind of people he's up against, it was hard to feel like he

Also, if having more light than darkness in you nullifies his power, why is he able to use it on pretty much anyone? Is everyone just secretly filled with darkness?

Ultron's plan was for synthetic lifeforms like the Vision to inherit the Earth because they could survive an extinction-level event.

The second half of his plan is to kill everyone he can't make an Inhuman with nukes.

Please tell me he only holds up four fingers when he says that…

Esrin Fortuna said magic predates language, but I have it on good authority that you can do magic if you talk backwards.

Like in Postal 2.

Iron Man 3

It could've been avoided if those forum commenters knew how to read. I don't think Jeopardy! clue writers need to take into account people being dumb. That's their own dumb problem. Unless people think "Its" is the name of a planet, there's absolutely no reason to get confused by the wording in the FJ clue.

And each of the incorrect responses was a celestial body, so the contestants clearly got that.

No, it's clear they're looking for the name of the celestial body. That's why the question starts with "Its" and not "These".

They mean surface features. There is only one fucking word between that and "ones" in the clue. There's no reason that should've confused anyone.

How was it unclear to begin with? The writing of the clue makes it clear they're looking for some celestial body that has surface features are named after those women. Would it make a difference if I knew those features were all craters? It's their own dumb fault if they tried rattling off all the mountains on the
