Lurve it.

Any love for "The Bells" around here?

We read "The Tell-Tale Heart," "The Cask of Amontillado" and "MS Found in a Bottle" in seventh grade. The last is probably my favorite Poe.

He found a way.

You know,TLAotA, that's exactly it. I simply can't stand performances that shout "I'M ACTING HERE," which is probably why I loved Jack Black in School of Rock but couldn't stand him in King Kong.

I know what you mean
"I grew up so steeped in the Muppets and Steve Martin that it's hard for me to be objective about them."

Notice Hip Dude didn't say "TV" because "TV" is a nickname and nicknames are for friends and television is no friend of his.

On Spaced, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz there are also Pop-Up Video style text commentaries that are simply delightful. They point out all the homages/references and include fun random facts like the second album Nick Frost ever bought.

Yes, kinky. No, wait, the other thing—eww.

I always suspected that Mulder's narration was actually a quote, but never bothered to look it up. Cheers, guys.

Mulder's regression was certainly intriguing. Especially the way that Scully kept showing up in his past lives, always as someone who inspired Mulder's unfailing trust, but never as a romantic partner. I especially liked when Scully was Mulder's commanding officer.

I really wanted to like the performance. But in the end, I just found Sydney annoying, especially the way he kept beating himself on the forehead with two fingers. What is that, the past-life salute? Or did he really think Melissa was so stupid he had to slap her now and then to remind her to let him out once in a

Good calls on Futurama and NewsRadio.

Ok, Dr. Zarnak, you got me on Twin Peaks. Bob was terrifying. Maddie's murder was terrifying, Hank was terrifying and Leo beating Shelley was super-terrifying, although I wouldn't count any of those as Halloween Horror. Definitely Deep Horror, as in oh-shit-this-stuff-really-happens horror. Super Nadine and James

The dramatic equivalent of hilarity
Eh, comedy's a dead art form. Now, tragedy: THAT's funny.

And when I directed Star Trek V, I got a magnificent performance out of ME because I respect ME so much!

Future more vivid: If there will be dumb things, people will nitpick them.
Future most vivid: Yea, forsooth, dumb things will appear; people will nitpick them unto their very doom.

Rubinek is one of those guys who shows up from time to time and good things always follow. It's good to know his name, finally - for years he was "Not-Rob Morrow" to me.

Woohoo for the Picard Song!
