Chris Cornell: Hey guys!  SO glad we got the band back together.  Listen, I was thinking: I know you guys all got your copies of my solo album that I did with Timbaland, and you're like, 'sick work, double Cs!' and you loved it.  What I'm thinking is, what if we make new Soundgarden songs sound like that?

"Ditto Eugene Levy.  Two talented people who deserve better."

Every one of those chains supplies fatty, salty crap that's bad for them.  McDonald's is no worse…

Dear James,

I bet the Squirrel Nut Zippers were next.

No, you're thinking of the parents of Limp Bizkit fans.

You mean Gunnar Nelson?

@B. Scotch, I believe that's known as quarter water.

Would you say you're now you're just Chairman of the Bored (of Courtney Thorne-Smith)?

Pretty much exactly this.

You oughta know that's true.

Completely agree.

It's weird to me to see Calvin Harris all over the radio like this.  I listened to "I Created Disco" almost nonstop a couple years ago, and while I can certainly see the pop leanings on that record, I never in a million years would have thought he'd transition to this.

They're still making beats; they have a track or two on the new Noreaga album.  They also had a new N.E.R.D. album out last year.  And Pharrell was drumming at the Oscars (really!), up in the balcony with Sheila E, I believe.

I agree.  The movie was great, but that's because the guys were interesting, nice guys you wanted to see succeed.  It's not because the tunes were some forgotten gems that were secretly mindblowing.

I didn't know that about Pavement.  It makes sense though; Pavement is one of my other favorite bands.

Really?  I know it's missing Graham, but there's some great great stuff on there.  Out of Time, Good Song, Brothers and Sisters…the whole thing has a darker, slinkier vibe than their other stuff that I really really like.

Oh. That Knife….: I guess you're right.  I used to work at a music video show right out of college, and we'd play the shit out of that video.

I brought this up farther down, and agree wholeheartedly.  Out of curiosity, when did you get into them?  I feel like if you came to Blur after their heyday, you were more inclined to like their later works…

Oh, I completely get it.  One of my best friends is also a huge Blur fan, but she likes everything I don't and vice-versa.  I think a lot of it has to do with when you came to the band.  If you were with them from the beginning, you're going to gravitate toward those albums; if you got into them later (as I did), the
