I agree with intangible fancy. Nina was pretty much improvising. Her 'plan' [including basically kidnapping Tommy from his family] was based on merely what would make her happy at the moment. It's micro-, not macro-thinking, which is why she could be SO dangerous if in cahoots with a Parrish, who obviously thinks

Yeah, I also kept waiting for Gary to pop up, remembering that he was supposed to be immune to Nina's power. And it did seem the team members just basically kept setting themselves up to be put under Nina's spell, so that wasn't exactly a brilliant plan.

I agree with Karyn in that I too like Nina more than most on this thread, mainly because as my screen name alludes to, my all-time favorite character—-period—-is Joan Collins as The Siren on Batman, another beautiful woman who can manipulate people [but only men] to get whatever she wants. I bring that up because if

All excellent points here about the importance of the gender when it comes to Nina's powers and our reaction to them. I'll admit, it would be far worse for me if it were a man doing this. Not that it's all right for a woman, but it just feels different. [Plus, I'll admit, if Laura Mennell hypnotized me into boffing

I do think Mennell is a bit limited actress [the point about the expressions isn't unfair, but she still has lots of sex appeal, IMO], but I still think she did a good job here, if that makes sense. The bottom line is she is able to sell this character as being possible, and that ain't easy. And the fact is this

I think Nina has been the most wasted character here. Theoretically, she has the biggest superpower of them all, and all they use it for are plot points. How about if she really harnesses it even more, and can control people for more than 10 minutes at a time. Then we'd have something, I think.
I also have to say the
