When I saw ads for this show, knowing about all the other weird people shows TLC has it struck me that somebody at TLC decided that the new 'weird' thing they would showcase would be muslims.  Like they were now equated in weirdness with midgets and the Duggers.

Late post, but the low budget on this whole show and the amazing end result is not unlike the original Star Wars movie vs the prequels.  It's like the Plinkett review of the prequels mentions, 'Art through adversity'.
