Umbrella mouth gulper eel… no thank you!

Oh, there definitely was a new mother. And boy did she ever have a glass eye and wooden tail!

That's exactly what I was thinking. My wife asked what was going on with the framing, and I said it's gotta be an homage to the stick figure dude. It had the same melancholic mood, especially with the music.

The camera (drawing?) framing when PB brings the wrench into frame just before hitting Finn made it look like Finn had his robot arm for a brief second. But that's prolly just a stretch on my part.

With the return of Pepper!

No, Peeta will be in a different episode.

So, basically it's a more upbeat Eraserhead?

Absolutely love this movie. Didn't know anything about Pekar, but I was absorbed from the start. But the moment of realization that this was occurring in my universe was when they showed the clips of Toby on MTV celebrating Spring Break in Cleveland. Holy crap, I vividly remember watching that as a kid and thinking

Having lived in New Orleans for 10 years, I had to explain to my wife what a "Yat" was when we visited the city and ate at a neighborhood restaurant.  She's still convinced the server was originally from Brooklyn.  Mostly the blue collars and West Bankers have it and it's dying out in the more affluent areas…  so good

As a Tulane alum and former frat bro, they used the wrong fraternity.  That should have been the Pikes.

Before, the end, I came to the conclusion that the cats provided the lifeforce for the boxes and it was indeed a kingdom.  I totally expected the last shot to pan to one of the boxes, and it would have "X"s for eyes, not able to survive without the cats.  I thought it would be a funny conclusion that Finn

She was wearing a diving helmet….

I noticed that too.  Maybe it was what was holding the key?  Like a key caddy and not an actual functional lock?

I loved Hader's impression of Lemongrab in the fireman sketch.

NEPTR is good times, but for relevance for this episode, I'd have to go with Tiffany.  Jake did go to him when he felt Finn was getting between him and Rainicorn.

Remember, Ice King has many penguins, and all of their names are a variation of Gunter, including a Gunther.  I believe some of these penguins are probably interchangeable as his "pet" penguin, with the main ones seeming to be Gunter and Gunther.

Oh no!  Promotheus!
