Family Guy
Loved it in high school. When came back on TV after I started college, I gradually realized how cringe inducing and unfunny the show really is.

Amen to that, Unpossible.

Fuck you, James Cameron
Titanic. God, that was a massive turd.

The Best Two Weeks In Late Night Network TV, Ever.
I hope it's a fitting end to the week (2 weeks?) that made Conan a fucking legend. Spending over $4 million on a sketch just to dick over NBC was inspired. I love Conan, but getting canned by NBC may be the best thing to ever happen to him.

Man Bites Dog
A.K.A. The Most Brutal Comedy Ever Made.

DEP, Progressive Rock
I firmly believe that Dillinger Escape Plan is the best band of my generation.

Without Monty Python there is no:

I didn't mean to imply that audiences didn't take to Godard. I know his films were incredibly popular through Weekend. I was just saying that your general film audience doesn't go for heady postmodernism (something I think we can all agree upon), hence why his influence isn't as omnipresent as Picasso or Charlie

All it needs is the full shot of him trying to strangle Herzog on the back.

Godard's Vacuum
I think part of the reason Godard's influence hasn't been as ubiquitous as Picasso's or Bird's is because film is such a populist medium. Picasso was operating in the realm of fine art, and Charlie Parker was working in a genre of music whose main demographic was urban youth and other musicians.

Seconded.

This Is Beautiful
Favorite line from that McElderry article: "Can you imagine the grandmas hearing this over Christmas lunch?"

Is it just me, or is this just a really conventional story with a bunch of weird looking shit? I know this is not an adaptation, but it doesn't seem to be going for the gleeful absurdism of Carroll's "Alice" at all.

ZMF's interview would only consist of one question: "HOW DOES IT FEEL TO FUCKING OWN?"

Seriously, that link is an orgy of nightmares

No, but when I read that headline I thought they were inserting sexy werewolves into the Allen Ginsburg biopic.

*Cuts to the dog with the shifty eyes*

This reminds me of the episode of South Park where the boys are trying to win a ratings war with Craig's show, "Animals Close-Up With A Wide Angle Lens," and it's spin-off, "Animals Close-Up With A Wide Angle Lens…Wearing Hats"

Marley & Me
My girlfriend saw Marley & Me about two weeks after I found my dog dead (I'm a sucker for dogs too, so I was a complete mess when it happened). She called me after seeing it and screamed, "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE!!!" Good thing, because before the warning I thought, 'Hmm, maybe seeing a
