Interesting, but the subsequent scene when they burst into her room and…

Wow, we had very similar Holy Grail experiences. Right down to the "cool aunt"

Good call. Ditto for Children of Men. Although with both of these examples, while they're less thrilling with each viewing, the technical aspects and the performances become even more fascinating.

Yes, yes it is.

I knew a guy who had no knowledge of anything having to do with Citizen Kane, except that everyone says it's the greatest movie ever and that there's an important ending. He kept saying, "DON'T TELL ME THE TWIST!!!!", to which we would say that it's not a twist per se, but whatever. He saw it later on, and smugly

I Love This Show
This show appeals to the Hanna Barbera/comic book loving kid inside me. Easily the funniest show on TV right now.

Granted, Riff. And while I rewatch AD very often (I don't have cable, so that's a series that's in regular rotation in my DVD player), there was something magical about that first time with those people. Learning about a world of inside jokes and obscure references that was once quite foreign to me. I'm getting a

I think it could've used more stand alone episodes. One of my favorites of the last season was the Dr. Qwymnn episode. It still had some backstory, but it was very light on it. It was more about the gang in a jungle situation and their various romantic misadventures with the Qwymnn lot. But I'm not complaining by

My list
Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange - first movie that made me really consider film as an art form.

The Actual Adventureland?
Has anyone here been to the actual Adventureland that this is based off of? It's in Farmingdale, NY and I remember going there once or twice as a kid. Really weird seeing a major motion picture set there.

The Sixth Sense is a good one, too. Doesn't get me every time, but I did choke up a little at that scene the last time I saw it. Makes M. Night's descent into mediocrity all the more depressing.

I met her
As a freshman in high school, I did a silent movie workshop that she sponsored. I had no idea who she was at the time, but someone told me she was the daughter of the woman from Casablanca, so I was intrigued. She came to the performance of our material. She was super cool, and she wore clogs. I saw Blue

Oh, remembered a good one…

My list:

Blacula Hunter
Are there any good movies out there about Blacula hunters? Need to represent!

…Tommy Wiseau?

Does that mean, because I think St. Vincent is hot, that I would do Andy Samburg if given a chance? Seems wrong.

It's right wing in the same way that some people interpreted The Dark Knight as being pro-Bush Doctrine, or WALL-E as being anti-fat people.

God, I love this movie!
"You stay… I go… No following."

That would be epic. Get on it, AV Club! I wanna hear anecdotes about Mom and Dad Save The World!
