How many people enjoy this show because they find it relatable? Do you guys feel like the writing is dealing with these heavy topics realistically?

I wasn't a fan of this episode. The jokes and plot were a lot broader compared to the first 2 eps.
I mean, yeah, if you're into the story then everything you said is what the writers are going for. But there's too much convenience in there for me to enjoy it. I like the show better when it's messy and realistic. The Martha/Phillip relationship felt that way in the beginning but the more intimate it got the more…
Like I said, I'm happy for the hardcore fans. But almost everyone in this comment section interprets the characters and the world of the show in a way I just don't understand. Especially all of the 'Team This' and 'Team That' and shipping talk - that stuff means nothing to me. If that's the emotional driving point…
Well, I made it through the entire first season and I still feel like it's a Disney Channel show for adults. White Josh is the only character that consistently resembles an actual human being and the continued treatment of Valencia as a cartoon villain is mindboggling. I'm glad it got a second season for the hardcore…
Paul Downs is a really funny dude but this was pretty bad.
The part where the Pamela character collapsed on the ground in the parking lot was really, really funny - everything else was just kind of boring and forgettable.
Or you could read it, respond to it and have a discussion with someone who shares a different opinion than your own? Sorry to interrupt you guys tossing superlatives back and forth at each other in your little bubble.
You're describing people acting to weird things, not insane things. Rebecca spent a bunch of days and nights - and a bathtub massage - with a stranger who slept at the foot of her bed. Come on.
Wrong. I was excited for the show at the start b/c of Rachel Bloom's youtube stuff and I've seen every episode. And every episode she drums up some goofy scheme to either impress/spend alone time with a boy (josh or greg), impress/become friends with a boy's gf/mom (valencia/josh mom) or impress her mom (mom). And…
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is like a Disney Channel show for adults. Every episode Rebecca comes up with some wacky scheme to get what she wants which eventually puts her in an awkward situation that she has to sing and dance her way out of. No emotional depth, insane things happen but characters don't react to those insane…
Yes, this is a tired response to someone who quotes a line from a show.
I bailed around episode 4 but after Rachel Bloom won the Golden Globe I figured I should catch up in time for the return to see if my issues with it had changed but they haven't. I still feel like the story and dialogue are really weak and the supporting characters are all one note. Valencia is such a ridiculous…
Shhhh… you're not allowed to criticize the show here. The fans have created a safe space.
I thought this was great until the end. The final scene with Claire Danes and her husband talking to Aziz in the store felt really false. Weird choice for such a grounded episode.
I disagree with you about this show but thanks for the response!
Wow. An 'A'? That's a really generous grade. The 2 songs were really good, butter joke was great and the ending was interesting but everything else in the episode was pretty boring and unsurprising. The conversations with her work best friend continue to be a lot of unfunny nonsense and I can't believe there are still…
Ditto on that being the starting point of the Marathon and therefore would be totally clear by the time they woke up. Also, you're never more than 3 blocks away from a major street in Silverlake and there's diners and cafes all over them. They were a 10 minute walk away from pretty much anything.
Shhhhhhhhh. Don't you know that this is a hilarious, honest and sometimes heartbreaking portrayal of modern dating? Nevermind that every third joke requires someone to be completely oblivious to reality or that none of these characters resemble actual human beings. This is groundbreaking stuff, man!
Yeah, his criticism of kicking the doc off w/ the part about the Islanders being good wasn't just a nostalgia jerk off. It set up the necessary background that the team went from being the best franchise in the NHL with a rabid fanbase to the worst franchise in the NHL w/ no fanbase in the span of like 5 years. It was…
