All I could think as I tried to get some sleep that night was that it was the very opposite of Christmas Eve as a kid.

I'm pretty sure that's been going on since August.

And this December I turn 40, so still so much great stuff to look forward to in 2016!

On a scale of 1 to even, how much can you not?

Mark, Markie. Mark, Post. IT'S ALL CONNECTED.

I've been pining for one called Oatmeal Raisin Crisp. Does anyone remember that? I don't think it's a thing anymore.

Don't forget about your smaller, local-level organizations too. I've been trying to understand the depths of my sadness over this election, and I think it comes down to just the disappointment more in the Trump supporters than the man himself. And I think the only real way we can turn the tide is working at the ground…

That's exactly what I said to a coworker who put forth the same theory!

I would agree except for the insane amounts of hate he's inspired in people. Really I'm more sad to see the true nature of my fellow citizens.

Not everywhere at least. He had a gig lined up in my town last year, and I'm proud to say that it just disappeared from the program after the post-Hannibal momentum really built up.

Wait, is Rian pronounced like Ryan? I always assumed it was something like Ree-on.

I don't know, I think they set up pretty well last week that the tech has been working on honing his coding skills. I feel like he's just too intrigued to pass on this opportunity.

I agree on the standup. I was excited to see him, but it was pretty awful.

My favorite is a hearty whole wheat bread with gouda and fresh goat cheese inside (the goat cheese gets all melty and divine). Then after it's done, either sliced avocado or sweet cherry tomatoes on top before serving.

In other humorists who love the Cubs news: Nick Offerman did a show in my town Tuesday night and started by apologizing for being the asshole who was keeping us from the game. He then asked for any Cardinals fans in the room and said "I say this with great relish….maybe next year."

Me too! It takes me right out of it to see actors handling obvious empty cups. Why do they do that?

Sakura Gelly rolls are my favorite. They can smear occasionally, but I've been able to adapt. They just write so incredibly smoothly!

Me too! My 8-yr-old self was pretty terrified of that first ghost in the library basement, and way freaked out by the eggs popping up and cooking on the countertop. I still feel a residual general unease when those scenes come on.

I don't know that it's necessarily trying to outsmart the writers, but rather trying to interpret the subtle clues that we see. Sometimes latching onto those turns out to be fabrication, and sometimes we end up being right, but if there's a foundation in what we're seeing on the screen, it's not just all wild guessing.

They're both fucking close to water! (that was my favorite joke I learned when I first left the country and had not really actually had beer, or didn't like it, but still thought it was hilarious)
