I am exactly as old as the simpsons, so I don't really recall the immediate influence and fad it had when it was new, and my mom never liked the show, so I never got any merchandise till I was older, so the first time I heard these albums were only a couple of years ago. I don't think it's that strange to see an actual album related to The Simpsons, or any of its ilk. Cartoons have been strangely connected to music since we have been graced with their invention; animation and music go had in hand, like cookies and milk.

The romance humanizes him. A romance grounds the show, while they continue to fight gods and killer snowman. I think that it's starting to ware a bit thin, but it is what it is. Maybe switch it up a bit and give him a male companion, instead of these sexy girls, like James Corden
