The second when Homer is showing the inanimate carbon rod what inanimate is, is one of my favorite moments in the show. It is such a strange beautiful thing.

A great review by Mr. VanDerWerff. This was an enjoyable half-hour of TV, but Todd is right, this episode is a pale copy of greater episodes from the series.
Okay, For Black Eyes Only wasn't nearly as good as tearjerker, one of american dad's best episodes ever, This episode started out really rough, but I found that after a few bumpy minutes, this really turned it self around.
Decent episode, with a very bad review
Dude, it's the internet, I was typing late at night. The fact you got a coherent sentence is a miracle in itself.
What is with the editing in this episode? It was brutal! The pacing was awful and the camera shots jumped around to weird angles. Also a viewer I had to make too many leaps in logic with the script.
Years after this review has been posted, this episode is the only one, I believe, to have a perfect rating from the fans. The highest I have seen so far is A- minus on a lot of the best episodes; even Last Exit to Springfield only has an A-.
If you took all the animated shows that have a regular viewing schedule, the simpsons would still be in the top ten.
An above average episode with a music number pulled right from vaudeville, loved it.
two nahasapeemapetilon's, eight missbehavin, I'm with cupid, Much Apu About Nothing, the sweetest apu… I think thats it.
Oh! The sweet kiss of hot lead, how I've missed you. I mean, I think I'm dyeing.
The only problem that I have with the B-plot is that Stan stated earlier in the season that Steve got his mothers ass and was lucky bastard. I know I'm getting nit-picky about that, but it really bugged me through the episode.
The show has done a couple of two part episodes, Stand of Arabia, 100 AD and Son of Stan, so it's more than likely they will continue this story in the future.
Okay first, this could be a two-parter, unless you already know what next episode is about seeing as how you have some privileged access to the series that we the common people don't, or they will address it in the next episode
Not much heart, but a lot of LOL moments for me. I gave it a B+
The Longest Daycare is an amazing silent short, and the most you can say about it is how it has some nice visuals? I now sincerely question if you don't like the show simply because that is what's cool.
I remember watching this with such high hopes, and really disappointing when I finally got around to watching it.
Good episode, but something felt weird about this whole episode. Maybe it was Pierces 80's mansion, but it felt like it was on a set for Save'd By The Bell.
I don't think it's wrong to look at a song for a deeper meaning; usually it becomes more enjoyable that way. I find that the average American jumps to this book, song, movie, play, whatever, is either democratic or republic.
Actually remaining ignorant is very easy.
