I don't agree that none of the cast has chemistry. In particular, I would say Benoist and Leigh have great sister chemistry and Jordan has chemistry with much of the cast, including Brooks.

I actually think the show's main cast is one of its strengths and the actress who plays Lena has done a great job with her role. Though I do think Benoist is the strongest of the main cast and I would argue that Brooks is probably the weakest.
I understand why they did that but many people did like Kara's platonic relationships last year, particularly the sister's relationship.
I like Mon-el when he is doesn't get too much screentime but this season spent too much time on him and we didn't see enough of Kara's other relationships ,except for her friendship with Lena.
But I don't know if a recast would be satisfying for those people.
I don't think the writing was perfect but they were better written than Kara/Mon-el and it helped that the relationship didn't get enough screentime to feel like it dominated the show. I hope this doesn't lead to Alex getting less screentime but instead frees up time for Kara and Alex to share more scenes.
Apparently Floriana Lima (Maggie) has been dropped to recurring for season 3. The press release implied it was her decision and she wants to pursue other opportunities.
I like Lyra but I'm not sure Winn's girlfriend should be a big part of the show. They already have enough trouble balancing plots and characters. She probably should be a character who shows up for no more than a handful of episodes per season.
From what I understand the Lena of the comics isn't a villain. I wouldn't mind her being a little more grey but a straight up villain would be predictable and too much of a repeat of what happened with Lex.
I don't really think Eliza and Jeremiah should never be seen again. They are minor recurring characters who serve a purpose when they show up but don't take up too much plot or screentime.
I'm perfectly fine with Kara being capable of beating Superman, it is her show after all. However, the way Clark talked about it after was unnecessary and a going a bit far.
The platonic relationships on this show, with the exception of Lena/Kara, have been really underdeveloped this year, especially in the second half of the season. It's incredible how little we've seen of Kara and Alex in comparison to last year. It's pretty telling that they pretty much rushed through their emotional…
I would love for Kara to stay single but I'm pretty sure Mon-El will probably return. I like Mon-el as an individual but his relationship with Kara took up way too much screentime. I hope the writers learn a lesson from the divided fan response and tone it down with his character. I'd rather see Kara interact with…
"Next season even if he spends more time doing his *actual paying job* at Katco he's got the costumed chops to fight by her side, something that Kara needs in a true partner."
I don't think Benoist's singing was supposed to be flawless. Kara isn't a professional singer and Music Meister also said she was flat in places so I think it was intentional.
I think Mon-el is coming back next season. The writers are way too in love with him to get rid of him this soon.
I agree. This season has had some good points, and I really enjoyed this episode, but especially since it came back from winter hiatus it has been weaker. It doesn't feel like they properly planned out the season, the characters have been dumbed down more for the sake of the plot and the show has struggled to balance…
Though the show was always going to lose a substantial amount of viewers from CBS it could be doing better. Since Supergirl has come back from its winter hiatus the show has become more uneven and unfocused despite some standout episodes. I don't think they should completely reboot but they do need to get some sharper…
I'm not fond of the Guardian story but I guess I would rather see it than Mon-el (who I really liked this episode) being given excessive screentime, it's nice to see a well balanced episode. Though I'm annoyed we've seen more of him fighting bad guys this season than Alex. Hopefully once her relationship with Maggie…
Looking back the first half of the season was stronger with a couple of exceptions as you said.
