That Unheard Music track might be my favorite cover ever..I remember after Elastica broke up, Justine was supposedly going to join Steve Malkmus & The Jicks. She played some shows with them, before, I assume, retiring…I would have loved to have heard an entire record with her & Malkmus.

The Kurt Vonnegut cameo never fails to blow my mind.

"That's The Facts, Jack!"

Featuring Cia Berg, of 90's one hit wonder Whale. They of "Hobo Humpin Slobo Babe" fame…

The Bob Stinson version of "Can't Hardly Wait" is probably my favorite Replacements song. I've also always had a soft spot for "Nobody".

5 B&S songs I don't care for:
The Chalet Lines
Little Lou, Ugly Jack, Prophet John
I Know Where The Summer Goes
Chickfactor
Black & White Unite

I went to the tourdate in Dallas. We got Neko AND a three hour B&S set. Good times!

This might be the single best thing I've seen thus far this year. And now I want to spend the rest of the year trying to master a Scottish accent…

Saw them live that year in CT…absolutely horrible! I think I had more fun at the "Jimmy Ray" concert I went to weeks later.

…were amazing!

I was given a dollar DVD of "Boy In The Plastic Bubble" as a gag Xmas gift, and Paul Williams singing over and over again "Leave us alone; we'll live in the country" over the titles screen might be the spookiest thing ever…

I would also put up In Country (whatever happened to Emily Lloyd?) and Alpha Dog (a great film all around but his acting in particular is great.)

That's the only pop song I know of that takes place on my birthday. Considering the subject matter of the song, that's unfortunate…

Is it weird that for me the third song "Fall In" was the one to click for me…the first song, especially, is kind of a dozer, imho…

Obsessed with Hayden and his music…really happy to see his new album being covered on the AVclub.

Between the new Hayden, new Eels, new UMO, Matt Pond & MY BLOODY VALENTINE….this might be the best music week in a long long time.

I remember a quote from Judd Apatow that stated that male nudity leads to awkwardness/discomfort, and from that springs great comedy. Female nudity typically verges on voyeurism/sensuality, and as a result is rarely funny. That's what I think Dunham is going for, not that she looks like a male, but I think she's kind

I'm just glad he gets to work with the Coen's again. I read an interview a while back where he expressed disappointment that he was no longer on speaking terms with them….they bring out the best in him I think.
