I'll never forget seeing Palin and Cleese explaining the ratings for the first time on SNL.

And he's funny and insightful on the Zodiac commentary. Guy had a pretty fucked-up life too, so he gets a pass from me.

Maybe it is when it comes to guys like Ellroy who probably never thought he'd reach his age as I'm pretty sure he did everything but skates as the saying goes. I'll put it this way, I'm sure Keith Richards has some pretty fucked up views of the world too.

You're probably thinking of the saxophone, played by Branford Marsalis.

The pedigree of writing directing talent for this aside, I'm a little sad that David Fincher never got to do the movie with Matt Damon as Ness about Torso as was rumored.

Also the tribute concert which followed that featured a lot of rock musicians who had much more success in the 80's than Queen did.

I watched an American Experience show last week on Billy The Kid, which got me started watching the Peckinpah film for the first time in awhile.

Agreed. "Who Wants To Live Forever" is my favorite song of theirs. Someone brought up the hard rock/orchestra craze of the early 90's in the "Enter Sandman" article. Like it or not, it was this song that started it.

They did get Bill Maher last season, which amazes me since HBO and Netflix are steps away from ground warfare.

It wouldn't be that much of a stretch. I heard he was looking into doing some TV a few years back.

I think they tore it down because they knew the negative press would start coming in and better to just rip it down before it hits the headlines.

It probably would have had things gone another way.

Plus it's nice to see Benito Martinez again, albeit in a smaller role.

That's fine as long as he can juggle it and his spot on the last season of Justified, damn it.

I didn't expect it to happen it all actually. Between what Beau said about the show eventually taking it's own trajectory away from the UK series and her being all over the spots I thought she'd have had a sure-fire spot on it.

I just liked the semi meta thing of Frank meeting his great-great-great grandfather. You can see the shock in his face of how he learns about his elder's fate.

Freddy's downfall was more sad to me than anything else this season. Maybe Rachel breaking up with her girlfriend but you kind of saw that coming. I hope Frank brings him in as chef for Season 3.

I thought this was an excellent season, and a definite improvement over the first which is how every good show is or should be anyway.

*laughs*

Any relation to Atilla The?
