Apparently pretty true-to-life too.

The thing that bothers me about the Newlin storyline is that apparently his father disappeared and it hasn't been mentioned since.

That dude was that special kind of "first one killed" annoying.

Who doesn't? Would love to see them do something together. Or him and Val Kilmer doing duel Twain's.

Anyone else thinking that Rutger is channeling Hal Holbrook a bit?

I was disappointed they didn't make the father character more like Martin.

More guilty-pleasure for me, but I get a kick out of reading the comments here on the review after so it's worth it.

Top Gear is back on tonight.

Since the government decided to do a remake of Vietnam set in the Middle East, I see no problem with Hollywood doing a remake of this.

Worth mentioning that it was his role in this movie that got Chase's attention, that ultimately lead to James getting the role in the first place.

She's nearly 60 years old. She looks closer to it, still good albeit a bit Botox-ed. It blows my mind she was around 40 when she did those two movies (also played the junkie mother of the girl in The Crow).

I love this movie. One can't help but wonder of the alternate universe where QT writes all of Tony's stuff, and allows him to twist it in his own way while keeping the characters and dialogue intact.

Jeff Goldsmith called it a "casual" menace. Normally scenes like this take me out of movies too, but the fact that she is the one who does him in goes a long way towards me accepting that kind of violence in a movie. The extreme example of this is something like Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, where the revenge is as

It was pretty great from what I remember. His behind-the-scenes stories about  how Fox pretty much screwed him are pretty wrenching.

There are exceptions (I thought Cotillard was stunning in Public Enemies) but you're mostly right. The things he talked about in the DVD/Blu commentary for the film about the research into Ashley Judd's character was so much interesting than what wound up on screen. An entire movie about that kind of relationship,

Monday's Mohr Stories was with Christopher Titus. I'm unsure of AVC's opinion of him, but I like him I am unsure if I could stand him as a podcast host (which he is).

I only watched the clips that were put up online to keep with the story. It paid off when I saw the reveal in the finale about the fishing lures.

Punk is vastly overrated IMO, but he does come off as a bit of a dick here.

No you couldn't, you'd need a third arm.

And Diner, which I'd really rather see un-edited first.
