The movie is actually set at the end of this century. And like @avclub-4ffabf87500b89362ca0abc12daf720b:disqus or not, he makes a good point above.

I'd put it on the same pedestal as Serpico, and certainly above Q&A.

May I suggest you do Night Falls On Manhattan tomorrow? James is overshadowed by the leads, but not by much really. Charming but ultimately tragic, and he had good chemistry with Andy Garcia and Ian Holm.

This was the real cinematic disappointment of 2012 everyone claims Dark Knight Rises and Prometheus was. With those movies you had to expect it, but I was sure this was something that would be a good follow-up to what is possibly the best post-Unforgiven Western.

For some reason I thought he appeared on the show when he was a kid. I probably read the IMDB thing wrong.

They start shooting at daybreak.

I liked the first LW, but I prefer 48 Hrs to it. It's only a comedy because of Eddie, but he's relatively toned down compared to what he would do from then on. I like the sequel, too. It's the same formula with a bit of early-90's flashiness thrown in.

Also has a young Dean Norris.

In what tongue can "white" be mistaken for "one"?

My personal definition is rock music starting with the English invasion up to 1980, not including punk/new wave.

You write some funny shit from time to time, but sometimes I think your life would be complete if it turned out the actual Warren Oates was a punk fan.

He did? What an asshole.

They changed it due to Anna's pregnancy.

I don't even think of Batty as a villain. Nobody in Blade Runner show any strong shades of good and evil.

Everybody wants to be Encyclopedia Black.

Failed onesies, or 23-sies in fact.

Non-sequitor but I thought he was great in Melancholia.

God damned John Denver, etc.

Is that a new position at HBO?

They were slapping our heads with it the first season, which can be effective and I think it worked for awhile. Now they are using hammers to bash the message in, which is something I would imagine never ends well.
