I agree. Nathan sets things into motion and watches the results. He may poke or prod here or there, but I don't think he's culpable for all the lies perpetuated by the morning news shows. Also he didn't take any money from the people who signed up to help move.

American TV loves a pissy Gordon Ramsey, so they encourage (or edit) him to act a certain way. Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares (the British show) actually shows a much more approachable Gordon Ramsey.

It's pretty messed up to minimize rape just because the attacker was attractive.

It's so dense. Every single Whovian post has this joke in it.

It all just seems very unscientific to me. I mean, did they ever take a former marine and have him try and replicate the shot? Did he try a million times and only get it once?

I never understood the "million-to-one shot" explanation. What exactly are those odds quantifying?

"…a particular Soviet bureaucrat deliberately caused the disaster in order to prevent a forthcoming assessment of the radar project"

motherfucker

I'm glad your conspiracy theory has kept you warm these past couple nights.

I'd have to rewatch, but weren't there 5 people waiting in line to see the palm reader?

No, the Texas Juvenile Justice Code makes it pretty clear, he had a right to have a parent present and he was denied that right.

> Let me ask you this: Do you think it's reasonable to expect "an English, Art or Social Studies teacher to know the difference between a hoax bomb or a simple home-tech project?

I think that whether or not Ahmed designed the clock, rather than disassembled and reassembled one, is beside the point*. He first showed it to his teacher, explaining that it was a clock. The staff must have believed him, because they never called a bomb squad or evacuated the school.

That's a low blow, Loblaw.

This is bad news. Whoever replaces him will likely be worse.

I love Braid, so I am very excited about this. The color looks fantastic and the cel-shaded art style makes it pop. Can't say I ever payed attention to the developer though, who apparently is rather hated around here.

Draw a head on top and it looks like a fat person with their gut sticking out of their shirt.

Understandable. For me, I was tired of the hit-or-miss aspect CBB or Hollywood Handbook. Other educational podcasts had uninteresting hosts and couldn't seem to frame a narrative around their stories. Even though I only listen to about an hour of podcasts a day, I'd rather spend a month on one of the Hardcore History

Yes, but the stories he recounts are anything but dull. Pick one that interests you and give it a listen. Prophets of Doom is my current favorite, but at 4.5 hours, it's not for everyone. He does blitz episodes that are only about an hour, too.

Ever since I started listening to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History, I really haven't found a reason to listen to anything else. The stories are fascinating and Dan Carlin speaks with such excitement and character, it satisfies everything I want from a podcast.
