I couldn't make it past a few episodes of the fifth season. It was like aliens had abducted these characters I knew and loved, and replaced with them with shabby doubles.

There was no seventh (or sixth) season of Gilmore Girls. That's just silly. There's no way a show that good could nosedive so badly in its later life.

Yeah, you're essentially right. I'm usually okay with it, but for some reason I felt it was especially unjustified in this episode. I'm probably just cranky today.
