Same here. I came to Buffy late and had already heard people talking about how much they loved Wesley. So when he was introduced in BtVS, I thought "This guy?" But by the end of Angel he was my favorite character in all of Whedon. Denisof is such an underrated, versatile actor and I'm glad to see him getting more work.

At this point in the series, I side with Todd's "memorable is better than boring" opinion. Even though I really like Doggett, at least Mulder's irreverence and quips could liven up a boring episode. With Salvage (and Surekill before that), there is just no fun in the watching. If I can't have fun, I'll take bizarre

For me, it's about ratio. If the only time you ever see an Indian character in the show he is shown to be a a dirty, creepy mystic, that feels like a problem.

I would have much rather they used Duchovny in this episode than in next week's The Gift, which I despise.

I thought Redrum was lifting a bit from Memento until I looked it up and saw Memento wasn't released in the U.S. until after Redrum aired.

I loved when they caught Flukeman and Skinner was talking about prosecuting it. Too bad it escaped and we never got to see that trial.

Yeah, I'm sure expectations is a big part of it, just as it always is when we're repeatedly told we're going to feel a certain way about something. Home was the first episode of the XF I ever saw and I was pretty young at the time. I had no idea what to expect, so it freaked me out. I couldn't even re-watch it for the

Phoenix is still my favorite episode of BB. It always surprises me when I'm reminded it was written by Shiban, who never had a sole writing credit on any XF episode I enjoyed except for Pine Bluff Variant.

I agree that Roadrunners is effectively creepy and memorable, but there is something about it that bothers me more than any 'Scully in peril' episode. Maybe it's because I have a hard time believing she'd make a lot of the not so smart choices she makes (her interactions with the people and, as Todd mentioned, giving

Aguirre and Fitzcarraldo are probably the better responses to the question of this article, but Stroszek was my first thought. It left me depressed for days.

Considering the show only had 14 episodes, saying Firefly had 2 great ones is still saying something. I thought the remarkable thing about Firefly was that every episode was good (except Heart of Gold, which I never cared for.) Anyway, opinions and all that.

Season 8 is underrated and did a great job setting up a new dynamic, shifting the tone back to serious and creepy, and injecting the show with a new purpose in the search for Mulder. Finally, the show had some stakes again, which it hadn't had in quite a while with all the Samantha starts and stops. That's why I agree

Yeah, that retcon with Mulder's terminal illness was completely nonsensical and pointless.

Obligatory "Tatiana Maslany is amazing" comment, because it cannot ever be said enough. With any less competent actress in the lead role that show could have been a disaster instead of the fun ride that it is.

I have enjoyed shows with teenagers (or young adult actors posing as teenagers) in the past, so I wouldn't rule this show out just because of its premise. But I don't have as much faith in the CW casting teenagers who can actually act versus just looking pretty, so we'll see . . .

Yes, Dollhouse. I think it had the most satisfying finale of any sci-fi show in recent history, compared to some others that fizzled out at the end (I'm thinking X-Files, BSG, Fringe). Dollhouse started off shaky, but it just got better and better over time.

I had just been thinking how I made it through an episode without tearing up when they rolled out that ending. Well played, Parenthood. Well played.

"and anyone who didn’t care for Topher in Dollhouse is going to be immensely frustrated to learn that he’s been split into two characters . . ."

Sleepy Hollow has two extremely likeable leads who make me willing to overlook the batshit insanity of the plot. The S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot was fine, but the cast was so bland (except for Gregg) and the Skye character was downright annoying. I'm hoping they can quickly turn that around, and it's very early yet, so
