I don't think I've ever been so sad for Scully as when that body disappeared. Her excitement over the invisible body was adorable, and Mulder's indulgence of it was sweet too.

Agreed. Cheers was a great show, but there have been enough shows that followed where characters make impulsive decisions that seem to have no motivation other than to prolong conflict for a season (We were on a break!) Parks may not be for everyone, and that's fine, but I love that it's different than any other…
Next week's episodes are probably my favorite two of the whole season. I'm looking forward to that.
If I have the time, I usually try to re-watch the episodes being reviewed each week. But not even two days of forced confinement and a snowbank outside my door can make me want to watch Fight Club again. It hurts my eyes.
I completely agree with all the joy to be found in Hollywood AD despite the messy plot. I'm especially fond of how Duchovny writes Scully (as he did in The Unnatural), giving her a lot to smile and banter about. The Sister Spooky scene is adorable. And of COURSE she can read Greek. I just love how over the top and…
Wow, forgettable isn't a word I expected to hear used for Hollywood AD. I would use it for Brand X, which for me is even more bland and forgettable than last week's Chimera. But Hollywood AD is so over the top that I figured most people would consider it memorable. I think you pretty much nailed the plot, but Skinner…
I tend to be more forgiving of the cast-written episodes, just because I appreciate that the showrunners were willing to take creative chances and allow the actors to get involved in the process, even when the result is something terrible like All Things. (And also why I'm so hard on Fight Club, because Carter has no…
I love Hollywood AD so much. But I could also understand how someone could hate it.
It was weird that the doctor moved to D.C. to be near Scully ten years earlier but never told her he did that. Was this guy supposed to be a viable alternative to her life with Mulder? I completely agree that the overall sentiment of the episode (and especially the last scene) was nice, but the mechanics were awful.
Lost is on my list, but I think I'm less daunted by the length and more by the number of people I know who were disappointed by the ending. I haven't been as enthused to start something that I know might not end in a good place. (And I've managed to avoid spoilers, so I don't really know what happens at any point in…
I had a hard time getting into Fringe, too. The procedural episodes only made me wish Mulder and Scully would show up to make it interesting. It does get much better when it gets into the alt universe stuff, even though I don't know that I'd ever consider it more than a pretty good show, even at its best. But…
That significant other exchange is fantastic, and all the banter Mulder and Scully have over the phone is enjoyable. Too bad the actual x-file wasn't more interesting.
Ditto on the "Poppin' corn." I say it, too.
The most positive thing I can think of to say about First Person Shooter is that it's STILL not as bad as Fight Club. With FPS, the premise is terrible and the dialogue may be the worst of any episode, but at least there is an entertaining train wreck quality to it. I cannot say the same about Fight Club. It's just…
Goldberg Variation is one of those episodes I always seem to forget exists but really enjoy when I rewatch it. Willie Garson is perfect in the role, and it is nice to have a sweet episode in there, especially given the darkness of the next one.

I've wondered the same thing about their flirtiness in these episodes (it even looks like Scully is playing with Mulder's tie at one point in Rush). Whether it was their decision or not, it does seem like the actors really enjoy toying with the audience and were probably given more freedom to do so after their kiss in…

If I were forced to choose, I'd have to say that Janice is my favorite character in The Sopranos. Not that I like her, but I find her the most entertaining to watch and Aida Turturro does an amazing job in that role. We've all probably known a few Janice types in real life (and been exhausted by them), but I've rarely…
