Cody's Books was a huge, decades-old locally owned institution in the South Campus (Berkeley) area when I lived a block away during the 1980s. Closed, to much wailing and gnashing of teeth, a few years ago. At least Moe's is still open - 4 floors of books!

I haven't seen Zodiac (or figured out how to get italics in these comments).
I do know what you mean. The one that sticks with me the most is in 48 Hours, when they're at "Torchy's" (actually Bruno's in the Mission District, two blocks from where I used to live) and the bartender reluctantly directs Eddie Murphy "down

Amok Time has my all-time favorite line in Trek, and one of my favorites from all of TV.
Sulu: "I'll protect you, fair maiden!"
Uhura: "Sorry, neither!"
[Edit: Of course I knew it was The Naked Time. Damn!]
