One more observation: I saw this in a very nice theater in Monaco. I later saw The Darjeeling Limited on a horrible, volcano-delayed airplane flight home. I thought the latter was better. In other words, Wes Anderson > Woody Allen, at least nowadays.

Since I lived in the Mission and now in Noe Valley, Modern Times has been my Big SF Bookstore of choice. I also went to Cover to Cover until it closed, and still go to Phoenix. But I don't go to bookstores that often, as it can be an expensive habit.
It's legal to smoke weed there. Sort of. But people will look at you sideways and make snide comments if you do, other than in a "coffeeshop". Or maybe it's just me.
