I went to Vancouver to check out the "Vansterdam" scene, it was ok but I wasn't that impressed.
I made the mistake of staying at a motel in the eastern part of the city, got my backpack stolen from the hotel lobby as I was assembling my gear for check-out.
Me: "I've got to go back upstairs for the rest of my stuff. Can

Also, after watching so much better stuff, Moore just looks clownish and lame in comparison.

I second trilobiter's second of Ned's post. I liked Roger and Me when I first saw it, even after hearing some Detroit natives' criticisms (like how he never showed any of the massive demonstrations because he preferred to show the workers as isolated victims). Everything since then, with the partial exception of

@dgi - You're right, it's not the same. This one is more to the benefit of the Brits, French and Italians - hence NATO. And thanks for acknowledging our existence.

Maybe there are fewer lefties in your town than here. We've been plenty busy.

As a long-standing member of the anti-war left, we've been in the streets protesting this, as we protested the/both/all Gulf Wars (depending on how you count them; we really haven't stopped bombing Iraq since GHWB started), and every other U.S. bombing campaign.

I suggest Audrey Hollander and Belladonna challenge each other to a whore-off.

(@BarkingSpider) … or Audrey Hollander

Piven was good in Grosse Pointe Blank

He looks like Nite Owl

St. Patrick's Day - Irish-themed American drinking holiday.
Mard Gras - (in USA) New Orleans-themed drinking holiday.
Cinco de Mayo - Mexican-themed American drinking holiday.
… and right around the same time …
Purim - Jewish drinking holiday.

Both those shows feature large in my childhood memories. My dad really liked Hee-Haw; it matched his level of sophistication perfectly. And I was too young to know how awful it was. But I found the lyrics to "Gloom, Despair And Agony On Me" hauntingly familiar to my soul.

It was weird to me watching Beecher riding around in a Humvee through Iraq. Driven by Ziggy.

@Donkey Lips: "Oh, and "let's bring in a boatload of Chinese immigrants and house them with the WORST CRIMINALS IN THE PRISON. That'll end well." "

Corned beef and cabbage is not Irish. Irish-Americans got it from their Jewish neighbors in New York.
Raymond Luxury-Yacht - that would be another thing Jews and Irish have in common.
Also, see Irishman And A Jew http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/…

You mix a mean caucasian, Eliminator!

Jamesons - that's Protestant whiskey, isn't it? Bah!

Why Monica left without Liam
I figured she listened to Fiona's speech, about how if you really love any of us, you'll leave Liam behind and go away. When she handed Liam over, as painful as it clearly was, she showed that deep down, she truly did. That, and Fiona's recognition of that, made for a tremendous scene.
