Bill Hicks probably put out an hour of material every year or so.  Tom has to fill 3 hours a week.  It isn't really the same thing at all.

Nice to see a mention of Too Much Information.  It's like TAL with any tweeness replaced with paranoia.

What comment are you referring to Charles?

Sure, your intention isn't as annoying.  We're on the same page there about them being annoying as fuck when they speak about their pranks and how their pranks will bring joy to my meaningless piece of shit existence.

That's like exactly the same as the dumb shit they do, just you were involved so you think it's better.

Is there a way I can use the internet to take money from the Improv Everywhere Documentary?

You aren't looking forward to Pleasure Island: A Rock Fantasy?

Good call.  I'm with you on not giving a shit about racing, but that was a beautifully crafted film.  That's exactly the kind of thing more people should be trying to do with the form.

Relax.  As it stands, you are basically the worst.

Days of Heaven has a good story?

How good were those reality show pitches?

No, you're not alone.  I think Marc was pretty annoying, but Bourdain came across as an interesting guy anyway.  If just wish he could downplay the "we're on the same side!" garbage and just use his seemingly natural curiosity to interview guests he isn't already pals with.

I didn't hate the Bourdain WTF that much, but it did feel like Marc REALLY wanted to impress Bourdain and be his pal and Bourdain didn't really give a shit.

I think I may be with you.  The actual meat of Point Omega felt pretty half baked to me, but I really loved the bookends about 24 Hour Psycho.  He nailed the description of experiencing art alone and longing for it to be a shared experience.

It really is great.  I have a hard time with holiday schmaltz, but this episode really gets me.

Time Trumpet was fantastic.  I would also recommend youtubing "Rape an Ape".

Totally fair.

I think I agree with you that most of the style was a choice; I just didn't find it particularly interesting or compelling.  It felt very 90s and very much like the overwrought first attempt made by a recent semiotics grad that it was. Maybe that approach and that level of camp played a bit differently at the time,

Does anyone have anything to say about the actual movie?  I saw it for the first time a few months back and it came across as incredibly dated and unpolished.  I liked some of the prison scenes, but the mocumentary segment fell pretty flat for me.  The monster story was at times pretty funny, but pretty over the top

Also Histoire(s) du Cinema.
