finished watching this last night. late to the game, sure, but swinging for the fences. had more trouble seeing the influences of this season compared to the 70s homage in season 2.  i know it's mostly inspirational 80s action movies (over the top and the like), as I've gleaned from the valuable commentariat input

nice eyes-up-here photo.

some get HUGE paydays; sorry for the poor HTML coding [I don't know how to do this one and haven't ever looked it up]:

you can also peek at asimov's treasury of humor or compiled works of lucian of samosata. those both, directly and indirectly, expound upon the architecture of humor.

wrong. max headroom.

what market did you live in that showed this on saturday mornings? i had to wait until after 2230 in florida. and, boy oh boy, did i relish watching these ladies partially falling out of their outfits as a 12-13 year-old kid.

title suggestions?

"Brilliant!"

shee-ut!! i haven't even got season 1 started yet. it's comin' from the library, though. can't wait for it to build up with the knowledge that it's shattered glass, covered in spilled beer.

c'est une belle liste. cool stuff with the liquid liquid, pharoah sanders, and albert ayler. and here i would like to take a moment to stump for the radio ocora label. it put out some great gamelan recordings. gamelan is such a strange one. when i listen to it, i hear free jazz, church music. all kinds of emotions

feelin' extra gabby today, but @avclub-5d213468da8857324393c707fb3f6f67:disqus mentions above/below that the backstory re exploits of plissken/hauk/the duke/harold "the brain" could be worked out in an action flick quite well, without the maudlin, trite, hackneyed garbage that comes across the screen these days that

hey, i was gonna pose a question about the trade paperback that came out after the movie. apparently, it describes how plissken lost his eye in leningrad; how hauk got to be prison boss. just lotsa backstory that could be the entire movie leading up to a switch/fade of the plissken walking down the hall to meet hauk.

yeah, @avclub-ea93d61158b479315c8e0d4cd003ec35:disqus .  just wait 'til Snidley Q Dooshbaage (whose handle i cannot get a handle on to make it appear with the apetail. yes, apetail = @.) reads this. he'll flip a lid. btw, lurve inland empire. need to see it again soon.

please read the moronic inferno. it's not exactly the ripping of rock lyrics, but a sort of slash-and-burn through mid-eighties america.

half-distracted viewing of conflict. everyone knew the whole time!

thor's day
interrupted by wife's lack of interest viewing of dark horse. i was really enjoying it, and heard eerie echoes of my own rantings in abe's first to his mother; thereafter, my wife decided it was time to assert her dislike and

i shall bleat this from the bit-scraped mountaintops! i love how much smoking is in this movie!

why no one list: twentyfour mudhoney?

wisely adjudicated, tobias. unfortunately, what meritocracy is the hair-splitting truth that we're battling here. your meritocracy is bound to the strictures of the game called jeopardy. the forces pushing lauer toward hosting comprise a meritocracy based on another game not based on achievements in jeopardy. this
